My point is this- It is much better to manage your enthusiasm season-wise and not on a set TIE TIE CT pattern. And if you are aiming for games to win, then games against inferior opponents while your enthusiasm is high are a good bet. And that if you have the opportunity to win games away from home, that is even better because it will improve your ticket sales in your next (home) game. That said, I mark my tv games and rivalry games as must games from the first day of each new season. I am currently 19-1 against my rival and 39-1 in tv games. I don't think of it as micro-managing the fan survey. I think of it managing my schedule for optimum revenue.

14132/20550- attendance against rival after losing away game this season
18594/20550- attendance against 1st place team after winning away game this season
16773/20550- attendance against scrub team after winning away game this season

You do the math. I don't think it's overrated. But that's just me.

No I agree with what you're saying. I just think it might be tougher for him to do it as an undermanned, newly promoted team than you as you are a consistent power in the top division of your country.
