You've taken me quite literally on the 60 seconds.....

I believe in 1 minute you can copy and paste a well thought out and cryptic message. Or did you imagine me imagining the BB's implementing the changes, running the off season processing and then all sitting around a table and then looking around at each other asking...'great job everyone and now shall we get to work on explaining this to our users?!'

2-3 is good enough :D salary cap is more important than 2-3 :D

Actually salary cap would be useless as long as the economy works like today, so I guess they're not implementing it.

i actually do.

More acurately, I imagine one saying, ok, now all that is left is the news. Everyone will be happy because we did a great job releasing everything ahead of schedule and nobody will mind if I actually begin to write the news tomorrow.

Ha - so do you also think Apple will start releasing new editions of their various products and then start to tell their consumers to go and check the shops... the new iPad 3 is out!!

The details we've been waiting for:

With cross-training, these new techniques emphasize each skill as part of becoming a more complete basketball player, and make reference to every skill. Thus, improvement in driving is related not just to related skills (like handling), but also more weakly to unrelated skills (like shot blocking). For the average player in the game, this will result in approximately 10% slower training in their primary skill than before, and additional training in other skills approximately corresponding to that 10% loss. A particularly well-rounded player will continue to receive cross-training but will see a much lower reduction in primary skill training, while a particularly one-dimensional player will see a larger loss.

My first reaction is to the bolded part, in which I'm thinking about how to revise training plans. Lots of changes here so it's hard to say how to proceed.

At first it seems like the elastic effect is simply being increased, but I'm hesitant to assume it's that simple.

Although players will always receive a set amount of cross-training, it is difficult to predict which unrelated skills will improve on a weekly basis.

So the skills that are cross-trained will be random, or just that the pops will happen randomly due to skill sub-levels? Hmm

JoeKa..is your parrot spreadsheet updated yet?

Why on earth driving should make pop shot blocking?
I'm training PG/SG and I already imagine next trainings: you trained OD, you have 2 pops in RB.
/throw keyboard out of the window

For god's sake, why?

Um, i dont think that's what its saying. You still get OD but it, along with the other secondaries it trains, would just train 10% slower. You get some extra cross-training, which may or may not be random for which skills it trains.

Of course it will train OD, that's for sure. It would be crazy not to get training in OD.

I'm just saying that if I train OD I do not want rebounding to pop. Ever.
In the same way, if I train driving, I do not want shot blocking to pop. Ever.

Just examples, but good examples because those skills raise players' salaries.

Additionally, this kind of training is illogical.

Well now we know its possible to cap out a 23yo MVP Center at $210k (BALANCED).... this is a clever way of slowing primaries (salary) to the point where most teams shouldn't ever build a roster they could find themselves one day not being able to afford.

Training OD has become even more attractive now.... maybe instead of buying OD monsters and adding to their deficiencies, maybe we can buy great players lacking in OD and train this if ID is going to get a boost.....

Can you feel the box closing in on us all...... no room for mavericks anymore ;)
