You try to stay in 7th if you can and get the best draft pick possible... AND try to win the relegation battle.

I understand what your saying but I think I'm just going to try n win every game. I reckon if I tank then ill probably lose interest in the game.

Ok well obviously you're free to play how you want :)
I hope you can keep interest.
I just know this game is more about LONG TERM strategy instead of instant gratification :)

Yeh long term is a good thing. But most the comp is bots so moving a couple of spots up will not hurt his draft chance.
If you can get to 5th is means you don't play any relegation playoffs which means you don't pay for your players for a couple of weeks. Which can help cash wise.

But make sure you have a look at the levels of Div 3 teams and have enough cash and good players to stay up if you can once you do. If you are not ready (which I was not 1st time) you will struggle to keep up.

I was actually about to suggest trying to finish 5th.

I think you (everyone) needs to work out what their team is capable of.
Can you win it all and promote? if yes then go for it.
If not, then try to make as much money as possible, train up some young kids and build your team for the future.

How does promotion work?
I don't want to go for promotion yet as my stadium is still small and have no really talented young guys. that said, i want to win both the the big 8, and the leauge

Well at the end of the season we have the qualifying finals.

So 1st plays 4th
2nd plays 3rd
winners play each other then the winner of those games from each conference play a 3 game playoff series and best of 3 wins.
I think however that both teams will make it to div 3 due to the amount of Bots or something.

I promoted out of this league and did not make the final finishing the season 3rd and still got promoted.
Whoever wins league promotes and then any bots teams removed they drop and take the teams with next best record from all Div IV leagues.
