My team orders were totally disobeyed in this week scrimmage:/

I've played "Strictly Follow Depth Chart" in order to get enough minutes for my trainees, BUT not only that Game engine disobeyed that and gave more minutes to my reserves then my starters, it also put on the floor players that weren't even in the depth chart(???).
And like that wasn't enough, I had Shooting Guard playing as Power Forward(???).
Do I even have to say that he wasn't suppose to play today at all and that he even wasn't in the depth chart?

I mean, like it's not already hard enough to get 48 minutes for all our trainees, now game engine have to mess up our orders on the top of everything:/
I mean, seriously... what is the point of setting our orders if Game engine is gonna disobey them?
I've trainee who needed only 28 minutes in this game and, thanks to this nonsense, he got only 21 minute... as a starter!!!

I have setup before the match with setting my tactic to motion and place the necessary players in the lineup that I wanted them to be... Instead, the match took place without 2 of my strongest SF players and my PF playing out of position... I believe the setup used is from one of the scrimmage. Please review again... This result has robbed my possibility of going into the playoff

Well I had both bugs the last 2 days...

In the SC game I had put a very bad SF as a starter and a good player on the bench but the good player started and since the difference was huge between them he played almost all the game (which means: too many minutes and GS loss)

Today in the last league game (was already sure to have 1st place) I am 99% certain I put TIE since I wanted to boost my enthusiasm for the PO... But the game was played as "normal"...

i have set the worst player on my team to start at the sf in the lastest scrimmage game so as to save my starting sf from being over use and could play a little minutes.

i set the substitution to coach picks from the depth chart.

you can check at the set lineup page , former matches and that was against canitasbravas.

you can see clearly that i set henryk as the starter sf but the whole game it was alexandru who played

now im worried since he will surely drop in game shape and i got a tough playoff match coming!

i realise this post wasnt directed to me, but i am trying to help anyway.

there is a difference between 'coach picks from depth chart (CPDC)' & 'strictly follow depth chart' (SFDC)

if you want a player to play as many minutes as possible, set the sub pattern to SFDC

even if you set the starter as the worst player, if you play CPDC and have a better player on the bench, the coach will put him in.

EDIT - for example, Fremantle are playing West Coast in a pre-season match, Mark Harvey wants Marcus Drum (youngster) to play most of the game in Michael Johnson's position, so he sets Drum as starter and Johnson as backup. He tells the interchange bench to CPDC. This results in Johnson playing 100 mins & Drum only gettin 20 mins. If however he had picked SFDC and set Drum as starter & backup, with Johnson as reserve this would've resilted in Drum playing 120 mins unless injured or sin binned (yeah i know that is a rugby ref but there are no 'foul outs' in AFL)

and i just check, the player i set didnt even start even though he was set to start. and my number one sf played all the way 48 minutes!

just check my settings its there

thanks i appreciate the reply :D

Help please. For my PO semis match right now, I am certain that I set up my lineup but what it is using is my default lineup which I set shortly after I first signed up in case I miss it. For today's match, I am pretty sure I set my lineup/tactics last night GMT+8 (around 12 noon EST). I set it to LCD, PTB, 2-3 and PO CT. Also since I set it some time back, the rotation is no longer complete since I've let go of some of those players and gotten new ones.

I'm just hoping someone can look at this for me. Thanks for the help. It is an important playoff game you know. Also informed my opponent as well.

By the way, if I win anyway, we can just forget the whole thing.. ;-)
