Just that the offseason calculation caused some big problems with training this week.

Not the start I want to begin a season ... 0-3 and soon to be 0-4. I was hoping to make it to 100 wins before hitting the reset button but it looks as I will have to do it early. Just can't out run the aging process. :)

Best of luck everyone!

I am sorry to hear this, even though I have been "here" myself and know exactly what you are dealing with....I think the shelf life for NBBA teams is much smaller now than it used to be when money grew on trees for the teams playing this game in the first 9 seasons of BB. Now if a guy wants to stay in the NBBA long term, he has to sacrifice going for any trophies...and if he goes for any trophies he has to sacrifice staying in the NBBA for very long.

. . . before hitting the reset button

is the reset button the blue one, or is that the panic button?

i'm re-reading the manual, but it doesn't say which is which, or which to hit first. i'm terribly confused.

I'm calling it the reset but it's really the small button above the red panic button with the label "cash out now". You won't miss it! :D

a couple of data points about how this game works:

a) i noticed Jason raised ticket prices such that a full house would bring in nearly $800,000 in gate receipts. i thought this was a nice test of the attendance boost. apparently, one can raise ticket prices too much, as Jason's revenues have averaged only $515,000, which is i would think on the low end of what the attendance should bring for a large stadium.

b) i replaced by booze-hound brother-in-law PR guy with an advanced guy and my merchandising rose by nearly 50%. now let's see how he gets fans into the arena after a week where my clowns lose to their rival and on TV in consecutive games.

The merchandise boost was partly due to a bug that was fixed just recently. See Marin's posts here: http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/forum/read.aspx?thr...

I maxed out ticket prices when I promoted and experienced the same thing. As for the $515K in revenues, that can be tough to reach when you are hanging around .500, another thing I have experienced far too often at this level. I have definitely experienced sub $500K weeks when I was on a particularly cold streak. Now I recognize my arena is smallish for the NBBA but I wouldn't have filled it anyway with the substandard product I have been trotting out on a regular basis.
