It might help to differentiate the things you've read (for example: a lot of people train 1v1 for the elastic effect) and your own ideas/conclusions (1v1 trains DR mainly, so DR causes the elastic effect for OD).

We can agree on the first observation, but your conclusion based on that observation might be wrong.

I am not annoyed, I am giving you directions on how to improve the way you question, simple as that

It's exactly as Jerundebar said

You don't question, you state affirmations

"Does HA give elastics to OD, or is it DR, or both?
This is actually the first training thread I've read which actually talked about HA. Every other thread seem to focus solely on DR. Is that because DR gives more elastics than HA?"

You started of well but then your line of reasoning derailed completely, not only you stated your own assumption as an affirmation, you also misinterpreted the information you saw on the forum and stated it as an affirmation.

1. "This is actually the first training thread I've read which actually talked about HA"

I am 1000% certain it's not, I have read a lot of threads on the forums, ESPECIALLY I researched almost all of the training guides in the USA forums, Polska, Dutch, Austrian, Spanish, Peru, Argentina, Taiwan, China, you name it. In every single country forum and even in the english global forum you will find the info that HA gives elastic effect to OD. You don't find that about DR.

2. "Every other thread seem to focus solely on DR. Is that because DR gives more elastics than HA?"

This is your misinterpretation, every other thread does not focus on Dr, very probably what you are assuming is that people suggest to get your DR, HA, to 16/17 then train OD.

And you are assuming this as DR gives elastics to OD. What in reality this means is that

1v1F training or 1v1G are the most popular training plans for the 18/19 age bracket, and the recommended onees, because of the quantity of pops, and also because of the elastic setup it gives to OD, and some other skills.

It is common knowledge that you should get your DR/HA to 16/17 before switching to OD, and that is because it does not make sense to only train HA to 16/17 and then give OD training.

Because 1v1F trains JS, DR, HA, IS, that's why most people say to give DR/HA to 16/17 because then when you switch to OD your trainee will have enough pops, enough JS, enough IS, and enough HA to give OD elastics so this is the OPTIMAL way to train a player.

I hope this reply was helpful to you and don't take me as annoyed because I am not, I am simply trying to improve your line of reasoning and communication, cheers!

No this isn't even my own conclusion. I did read it up in the forums more than once. Since no one stepped in to correct them all this while, I just took it as it was supposed to.

I don't read country forums, so maybe that's why I miss out on a lot of into. But you are very wrong about it not showing up in the help forums. It wasn't my own assumption that DR gives elastics to OD. I read it up a few times, no one corrected it. And yes, with so many threads I am pretty sure I've never read anything about HA befor - maybe I missed out on it, but I certainly have not come across any in recent memory. Again, none of those are my own assumptions, so please don't assume that they are.

That said, I really appreciated that you actually came out to help me while also providing reliable sources. As I said, no one corrected those who gave out wrong info in the past, so that's what I learned. Things would certainly be better if you all come out to help us out more often, rather than keeping it within your community. I know you all have the right to keep your own secrets within your community if you want, but again, if it bothers you that misinformation is spread around, come out more often. Your knowledge would be greatly appreciated (or at least I would love to learn more of it).

Would you be as kind as referencing the resources that you state, where DR is corelated to elastics for OD?

I don't want to be rude, but having read a lot on the forums myself I didn't really find threads where DR is corelated to OD.

Anyway, no worries, we are here to help! I have sent you a message with some great resources, feel free to check whenever you have time!

No harm with you asking, tho I honestly have no idea how I am supposed to dig them up for you. That said, I would know what to respond if I ever see one again xD

Appreciate your DM, haven't read it yet but glad for the help. Thanks a lot.

I think you really need to think critically about the way you're thinking. Because somewhere you've drawn your own conclusion and stuck to it. I've looked up the last 10 or so topics about training and elasticity, and the only person recently claiming that DR creates elasticity for OD is you. Most posts say HA creates elasticity, and you're even commenting in those posts like (318368.6) and (316210.22)!

There are a couple of posts claiming both DR and HA create elastic effect for OD, and I found 1 post from last year that claims DR creates the elastic effect for OD (you also posted there). That's why you should be very critical with what you read, as anyone can post on the forums and make a claim. You are also part of this by copying such claims without veryfing the source, thereby and misinforming new managers that can also then misinform others.
It's not always on purpose, sometimes language can be a barrier. Like DR can also mean Defensive Rebounding, and if you're not aware that people mean Driving when they say DR things can get mixed up.

But there's no way that a majority of posts say that DR creates the elastic effect for OD, and I'm afraid you might suffer from confirmation bias that makes you (unconciously) ignore information that contradicts your current knowledge. Again I haven't gone far in the past to track where you first got the believe that DR was the elastic effect.

I get your request for people to step in and correct false information, but it's hard to stop because people keep posting false claims. I've tried to do it for some time, but I gave up. Everyone should do their part, and it starts with being critical with what you read and stopping to spread misinformation.

It's been ongoing for some time, as you said you even found a post from me repeating that since last year (plus I have been on this account for 5 years I think?) So it might go further back that I think.

Now looking back at the two posts you shared, I think I might have misunderstood some parts of it which added to the confusion. I do try to get sources verified, which have frustrated some players because quite a lot of sources that I was provided with were "trust me bro", for these I don't even bother to adopt them.
