Hmmm... If your observations are correct, it's strange that stamina would have such an important role in free throws. I still think that an atrocious free throw shooter should be closer to about 40%.

My guess is that stamina has the same effect on all skills, but it's easiest to evaluate empirically with free throws.

You think so? My guess is that it would work more like enthousiasm where it has a greater effect on defense and rebounding.

Could be. I have no hard data to consider here. The thing to do is to analyze first and second half data -- if shooting percentages within a game are consistently higher in the second half, then you're right.

is it sure that stamina works in the end game, because i got a very weak team in stamina in the past but i won more quarters in the second half then in the first one.

Actually i don't give a lot on stamina, but would say that maybe the player know how much power they could give to finish the game and low stamina means lower effort from the beginning one.

But stamina is hard to see effect, and iw on't be sure about the importance of it ;) The player rating is affected a lot through it, thats maybe the only point i know for sure.

my stamina was around a low 3 which is i think very low because i never trained it because my 2 U21 prospects was the only player who have had stamina. Today is it higher, because my bought players have higher stamina "from start", but a big role on my training programm isn't it till now especially because i have 2 players with very bad free throw skills(one the first look at my rooster, the evidence with stamina and ft percentage doesn't seem so clear, currently i got some FT lucker with low stamina) .

And there was a neutral bilance against team who have a stamina fetish, or saying things like that in the forums.

easy solution: if you train JS, FT will increase as secondary.

That would perfectly simulate reality: if you are a solid shooter, you can easily shoot from any spot, even FT. The reason is that you are familiar at shooting, so FT is definitely a secondary of JS. Minimal fix to the training engine.

There really aren't any minimal fixes in BuzzerBeater.

clearly he has some pathological fear of the free throw line, and this explains it.

there are weird mental blocks in sports, like catchers that can't throw back to the pitcher, or chuck knoblauch suddenly not being able to make routine throws to first base.

are you serious?

Not a good idea to cite something out of context. Here is the second part of this post:
not every buzzerbeater team is like the NBA, there are so many more players in buzzerbeater than the NBA you are going to see crazy things like this, but rather than insist that everything look "average" try to look at it with some creative glasses and humor, it will make the game much more enjoyable. Or from an analytical point of view, it seems to me that even a small amount of FT training would improve things dramatically for this player, and if you are doing a proper good cost/benefit analysis, you will train him, make more FTs, win more games, etc... which is i think the point of being skilled at the game.
