0, 1, 2, 3 Potential should be gone. Just like the third round in the draft.

No. NBA only will get 2-3 mvp potential in any draft. Therefore 0,1,2,3 there needs to be more.

I thought some stuff would be obvious but it clearly isn't.

A) Potential does not warrant that a player will achieve greatness. Most players picked up to mid lottery in the NBA have the potential to be all stars in their career. That's 8 players out of 60...which equals 6 players out of 48. Some of them don't even become reliable starters, some do become all stars. So why can't we have 6 players with 5 ball potential in any draft? Some players have rubbish starting skills and will never achieve their high potential, just like in the real world, either due to bad coaching or due to never figuring things out
B) Bench warmers and announcers etc do not exist in any top league in the world. They just don't. I'd say at least 95% of these players in BB are fired in the first week. These add absolutely nothing to the game.
C) Lower potential players actually have higher starting skills in the real world. They have lower ceiling but are able to contribute right away. A player with low ceiling AND bad skills does not make the cut, because he never gets selected in a draft

I understand this is not the suggestion forum but I will float something out there anyway. Double the number of prospects and halve the cost of the individual scouting actions. Then, as knecht suggested, the draft becomes a 2 rounds affair instead of 3. A restricted number of players (the equivalent of the third round maybe) who are not selected by human managers goes to free agency. This guarantees better average quality from the draft, 48 players still come out of it and it would have a very beneficial impact also on micronations' NTs (because of the FA thing)
