If the 1st, with all the increased income for being successful in his league, is operating a negative weekly balance, how much does it take for a 4th place to win against the 1st with HCA. Is it that difficult to understand?

it might take the 4th just a little overconfidence by the 1st. Playoff Normal can give you an edge later - but it's nevertheless more risky.

If the league is competitive, perhaps there wouldn't be much difference between first and fourth.

Actually, the BBs say that finishing 4th gives more money even if not imediatly, so the 5th place is a fake advantage or a aparent one. So the game itself does not incourage anyone to be 5th, it's more of a users common knowledge that may be wrong.

I have my doubts as well but for us it's impossible to claim one or another cause we don't see clearly both effects, just the BBs can run the simulations, or not who knows.

Anyway, it's a lot better than it was and if people have a problem with that maybe they need to give some other alternatives.

You can't group all teams together...For example...Team A has a 250K roster, finishing in 4th would be great...Now my friends team in Team B...900K salaries and he finishes in 4th and loses to Sharman in the JBBL playoffs...so he makes 33% of 600K which is 200K but still has to pay 700K...so finishing in 5th would have been better for him...so sometimes finishing in 5th would be better than 4th..
