What about possibly the upset of the season with moosa's beating Hag?!! Could be crucial in the run home. Going to be brutal on our side for survival, with some making their moves in the transfer market already. Enthusiasm and pd will be pivotal.

Good luck all!

Yeah absolutely, there is a huge battle for top spot in the Big 8 with a number of teams still a fair chance of taking no.1. The Moose has made some big purchases and is looking to come home strong. HCA will be important and I doubt he can get to tops spot before playoffs start.

Ok lets tone it down a little. I am aimiing for a playoff game. I have had the same team now for a couple of weeks and I am still getting cleaned up most of the time. I bought players to avoid relegation games as I was 7th. I think we all know Beechy will be coming. I didn't want to be the one he was after.

Yeah I agree, he's now selling up too. A bit late in the season to be avoiding relegation from where he's at.

well 950k for a big man 18 years old seem to be a good price. maybe it will trigger him to push for that 6th spot.

dont forget he has 3 core players already with the new SG and beechy is still possibly one of the best SF in the league.

He has no intention of going back to Div III. This is a plan devised at the begining of the season. I suspect we will see Beechy back in the top 4 next season. Who knows what he has in the bank. It could be scary.

I agree that Beechy is up to something. He is only 2 games behind both 6th and 7th, so catching up isn't out of the question. At the same time though both Steve Crocs and Northcote Slammers have spent their time at the top of Div II, just not this league. Very hard to count any of them out really but I predict one of them must go.

eh, Im ok with the two losses of late. Stones CT'd me and and MMM beat me in over time with 2 of my bigs fouled out and the other one injured. having Harvey out for 2 weeks is really going to test me though.

The run home in this league is looking brutal. Obviously Haggards and Aussie will have an epic battle for first, but it is down the other end of the Great 8 where things are even tighter. Hobos are gone with their $4,000,000 they made by tanking this season. Ramzays probably can't climb past 7th and are most likely dead in a relegation series. But there will be little between 6th and 4th but it will be a MASSIVE differnce in result. Even 6th in the Great 8 could be in denger in the relegation series.

In the Big 8 Stone Slashers are making a serious push and still can take the stop spot from the Mages or Seagulls who have been swapping it a bit recently. From Northcote to Beecy - wow what an incredible bunch of managers. ABBL experience, finals experience, all former top teams run by experienced and smart managers. How deep are their pockets? How much are they willing to spend? One of them is gone and that is amazing to start with. Two of them will have to face a relegation series, at least one of those series' will be a nailbiter.

Good luck everyone!
