I had a SG with high JR. Didn't help his shooting.

I had two players, one 19/11 js/jr the other 16/15. The higher jr player was more effective going outside, neither were good for inside offenses.

Just curious, has anyone ever known someone to experiment with getting Jump Range really high

In my opinion, that is one of the more unexplored questions regarding this game. Hint: JR alone is not enough. Warning: This fact eats salary and potential space.

I'm on the way to that point. Give me 4-5 Seasons

perhaps the first step to achieving a Miami-type offense is to reject any tactic but Base Offense but build Miami-type players. the way i saw the playoffs is that Miami would prefer to shoot inside (Wade), but if this is closed, then kick it out (and around) to find the open 3. LeBron plays a special, unique role by being strong inside, a great passer, but also a capable Jump shooter, including 3s. finally, there is basically no big man, certainly not in any traditional sense.

so what does this mean in BB?

-- a major scorer who gets his points inside. if not the focal point of the offense, certainly no less than the #2 option. high DR, but must also be able to pass.

-- an extraordinary passer who controls the ball much of the time. in BB, this means SG, although on Miami it means the SF (or whatever position LeBron plays). in fact, i don't know if BB could produce a player who is so much better than his competition, someone who could take over a game. regardless, good passing / handling would be a team quality.

-- a half dozen players who can hit the three. at any given moment, at least two of them are on the floor. ideally, these are big players (Miller) or specialist (Allen). high driving so they can get open. probably a JR that is higher than JS?

given all this, maybe the result would approach what Miami was doing. begin with looking for the Wade player to score, but if covered, pass for the open shot, which would very likely be a 3. RB would be sacrificed, as would ID.

again, the BO would permit the players to take whatever the other team was offering -- with the understanding that no one could fully shut down LeBron, who could pass, score inside, or outside, as the situation demanded.
