I liked nickfox and his activeness on the forums as well but if he has no interest in coming back then it was a little wrong to have him log in just for the sake of keeping his team. He sold his whole team off which isn't fair to the other teams in his league since now every game he plays is a forfeit. Yes it is an automatic win but it really detracts from the enjoyment of the game as well.

its no different than any other lame duck manager. it also gives him a chance to drop down a level and to be in a competitive situation for his league next season

The fact that the level below him has no human players means he will be staying at this level.

??? He's in Division II, chief.

Not quite sure why you're calling me out for trying to get my friend back into the game. There's nothing illegal with what he did and nothing wrong with what I did.

My mistake for thinking he was in Division IV. I know he didn't break any rules but I just think its not for the best of the game to sell all your players and leave causing anyone who plays you, for the next month, to see a forfeited game. I don't want to argue about this so I'm not going to say anything more. This is just what I feel about it.

You have an obligation to do what's best for the game? Nah. You have an obligation to do what's best for your team. The developers then have to adjust the game in ways that will make the two coincide. If they fail, the game goes down. It's that simple.

i kind of feel like the system the developers have set up is about as good as there can be in the situation. as a veteran of several of these manager games, what he did isn't considered criminal across the board. its almost an altruistic act, giving the opponents a chance to win over an opponent who would prefer not to play. whats worse, a win without competition or a loss to nothing?

Erm, not really. The main problem with selling out your team is when you do it in the middle of the season. This means you're giving freebie to part of the teams, but not to the others. There is a multitude of other issues as well, but I don't think this is the topic of the thread.
