The higher prices paid for players should be offset by the ability to advance in the cup.

There are plenty of teams that are going to go the other route which is to wait it out instead of looking to advance up the ladder.

I have tried not to get sucked into overpaying, but it's awfully tough. Seems like you did pretty well, Dean.

I have spent 50K on arena, bought two old players for a combined 57K and bought two coaches for a combined 8K, both Basic. I couldn't imagine sticking with Minimal, but paying as much for coaches as players seemed silly so I stuck with Basic.

$181K left, so I feel I've done alright.

I'll join the people waiting a week or 2 before buying trainers... when the chaos for trainers dies out a bit.

I'll be rocking the 4.7k salary basic trainer for at least a week or two, so as to get at least a slight boost above the minimal trainer but not have to spend the ridiculous rates guys are going for now. Finding players to build the startup team has of course been a greater challenge, and doubly so for potential trainees. But I suppose if you jump into a pool of sharks you can't really complain that there are no easy fish left to eat.

The advantage of having no initial players that are really worth training. I'm probably just going to stick with the minimal training and train FTs for a couple weeks until the prices come done. Luckily for team training the level of the trainer doesn't matter.

I don't mind the inflation in the player market. But the staff market is ridiculous!

I bought level 4 trainer for 148k, salary 15k. Also bought level 4 doctor and pr- manager for 1k. Staff salary 49k a week.
For trainee's for me "starter" and "star" potential are fine now.
Hope to go far in Cup and use that money for stadium upgrade.

We are approaching the end of the season and...I just got a level 4 trainer with $15,020 salary for $2,000. Celebrated my first at least level 4 trainer by drawing on him a pair of shades and a nice shirt.
