There is no reason for a new manager NOT to benefit from high level trainers. It might be uneconomical, but that's a different story. Everyone training benefits from better trainers. Obviously. And if they were cheaper and with a lower salary they would benefit the same, but save money. Obviously.

On the FT discussion I think the easiest way to fix it is that players with level 1 abbility to have around 25-30%
It's almost unreal a player with 40% FG and less than 10% FT even with a disastrous skill.

Another topic that would be interesting is a more detailed control of minutes in substitutions.
It would me better for planing training.
Example: starter player, 25 minutes. Sub 15 minutes. Reserve 8 minutes (Point Guard)
Starter player 30 minutes. Sub 15 minutes. Reserve 3 minutes (shooting guard)

It'll be great to set exactly the minutes we want our players play.

I started playing roughly 3 seasons ago and by the first month I had lvl 5 trainer and 3 trainees, it is just how you manage your team. Right now I am in tanking mode basically, getting more than 150k weekly profit. Once my trainees finish I will comfortably sail to the II. div and buy some guys to fill the lineup with the revenue I have collected thus far. Also I have 13300 seats in my arena after the last build, invested in new trainer who has 15k salary tier 5 couple days ago and I still have enough cash to buy at least 2 starters currently if I would like to. So I wouldn't say it is impossible to train your players as a new team, one of my trainees is also top scorer in Portugal U21.

I think that slightly increasing the numbers of the higher levels would be the way to go. Not by a lot, but still enough to make sure more people can get a hold of them. Top trainers should still be expensive imo. And in a way they help to take money away from the market.

This was exactly my suggestion. Others are asking for complete overhauls to the system that would send ripples throughout the entire game. I was just saying adding a few more trainers, or reduce the number of new trainers introduced with 70k salaries to start, would barely move the needle, but in a positive direction. 10% more new trainers? 5%? a good trainer should neither be easy to get for cheap nor unreasonable hard to get and requiring season upon season of revenue, Portuguese super-managers not withstanding.

I have nothing against it, but at least don't let us struggle with those 48+ for a full training...

This is where we hold them!

That would be a step in the right direction. That being said, I still think the best solution would be to get rid of the whole bidding system for staff. Instead a system like Hattrick's should be introduced. You hire a staff member for a chosen time period and then pay a fixed signing fee. The salary should then be determined depending on the length of the contract and the level of the staff member. This is probably too radical a change for BB though..
