How can you buy somebody in 260k, and because he is international sell him just one day after in 500k?

If this is not daytrading, how can you call...

You are right, it is possible it just takes a lot of insight and effort. I cannot speak for the other teams, but as a person on your list I can only explain how I got the money to start trading.

1) In my startup team was a player that I sold for 200k ish (2573737).
2) I made a spreadsheet calculating which combination of skills would be best for my team and thus most profitable.
3)I found out that you can buy players on weekdays for half the price you pay for them in weekends
4)I observed the market for a few weeks while making enough money on selling trained players e.g. (2347489) and thus keeping at least 200k in stock.
5) After I understood the market, I started buying improvements to my team and sold of my old team members for a profit using minimum prices.

I don't know if there was anyone who wanted to know how it worked, but just in case, this is how i became daytrader.

Now I mainly trade to cover my weekly costs as I'm not even close to filling my stadium and the 70k+40k a week in salaries does a lot of damage to your budget.

Hope it gave you all some insight,

Happy holidays,

Floppzzy

I think this is the problem most people have with daytrading. What the hell are you doing with 70k/week in salary in division IV? Add the +40k for the trading salaries, I assume? I don't think any team in the NBBA has salaries over 90k/wk and you're paying 110/wk? In division IV? With only 160k for a TV game? That's a nightmare.

And I see that you've figured out all on your own why you aren't even close to selling out your arena. Lowering ticket prices for next month is a great idea.

Also, I want to assure everyone that I'm not attacking any of the daytraders I listed (read all my posts in this thread). I know why people daytrade (I did it in HT); and I also know why people dislike daytraders. I believe that one of the things that makes games like this one fun is that it's kind of up to the user to decide how s/he wants to play the game. I only posted the above to clear up a point that I think Forrest was slightly misinformed about, and likely didn't have the time to research on his own.

I thought KDB was around $84k/wk so it was a safe guesstimate.

What in hell are you training with 18 players? (I see you're now down to 17). I can barely get 13 players enough minutes to keep their game shape up...

Certainly teams in Real Life bring in players on short term needs. However I dont think ANY pro team would be buy/sell 20 players a week (much less in a day).
if team management did that it would have an awful effect on the front office to actually MANAGE the team. also the fans would become really confused and not attend.
SO, I agree that the recently instituted TAX is not a bad idea (however the first 1 or 2 trades a month should have minimal tax)
But to really hit the day traders in the knees would be the a 10% DECREASE in attendance for every player bought in a month over a threshold (maybe 5 a month ?)
anyway, with the tax and a decrease in attendance, maybe it would make it less attractive to "day trade"
