The run home in this league is looking brutal. Obviously Haggards and Aussie will have an epic battle for first, but it is down the other end of the Great 8 where things are even tighter. Hobos are gone with their $4,000,000 they made by tanking this season. Ramzays probably can't climb past 7th and are most likely dead in a relegation series. But there will be little between 6th and 4th but it will be a MASSIVE differnce in result. Even 6th in the Great 8 could be in denger in the relegation series.

In the Big 8 Stone Slashers are making a serious push and still can take the stop spot from the Mages or Seagulls who have been swapping it a bit recently. From Northcote to Beecy - wow what an incredible bunch of managers. ABBL experience, finals experience, all former top teams run by experienced and smart managers. How deep are their pockets? How much are they willing to spend? One of them is gone and that is amazing to start with. Two of them will have to face a relegation series, at least one of those series' will be a nailbiter.

Good luck everyone!

Not to mention some of those teams hoping to avoid relegation are going to have to take risks to do so. This could effect some teams higher up on the ladder, as lower ranked teams look to steal wins to help their own cause. nobody can afford to sit back on their haunches as the risk of defeat is always just around the corner. Great season!

Best season I can remember since I started playing the game. Only a couple of easy games in the whole season.

I've had 2 quiet seasons - went down, then back up - this has been great. We had only 5 posts in the league forum for all of last season, so thanks everyone for keeping the chat going (sorry for not contributing more!).

let the fun being :)

going to have to pick our battles in the run home.

And it has started, Greeno just purchased a $70k PG to assist his team in avoiding relegation. I wouldn't want to be in a relegation game in the Great 8 this season!

I went straight from the forums to the transfer market. Have been hunting and missing out for the last 2 weeks, but didn't want to wait too much longer. got lucky.

I wonder who will fire the next player transfer shot? Some teams are sitting on some big money I think. The hard thing is to keep the long term plans in check, whilst staying up and not having too much of an aging squad next season if you do stay up.

An aging squad is the best type of squad to have.

My team is too old :(

It does suck when by far your best player is 32 so at least...oops Underwood...but at least all of your top three players aren't 32...oops Wsol and Reichensperger. I hope Josep is training fast.

Greeno you have suddenly got a really scary roster. 70k PG, 35-40k at all other positions. You should be able to win a lot with that roster. I think tremmel will be in trouble tonight but I still think the Stone Slashers will have you on Saturday. We will see. I guess the really big one is against the Crocs on TV on Tuesday, that one could be huge for the final positioning.

My roster is still 2-3 players away from where it needs to be, but at least we are on the right path now. But staying up will be the test.

I am no chance against stone slashers, and some chance against Crocs but I have never beaten him - he is my bogey team (like you used to be Haggard!).

Crocs v phoenix tonight should be a cracker too.

The top 3 are so close it's scary in this league. the bottom 5 are also evenly matched.

i will stop typing now as I'm getting too nervous thinking about it!
