League position plays a factor as well.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

not always true.. because kevin durant won ROY and his team didnt make the playoffs.... the award should go to a player who its his 1st season in buzzerbeater(referring to the most recent draft) gave the best contribution to his team.... Also the Rookie could also win MVP and other awards that Q-Law mentioned...

In BuzzerBeater league position plays a role in the MVP vote, regardless of whatever you posted.

In real life MVP voters always take into consideration the standing of the team also, and that is mirrored here.

It appears that he has left BuzzerBeater.

In the NBA, the only requirement for eligibility is to play more games coming off the bench than starting. In theory, a player could average 47 minutes per game coming into the lineup off the bench and be eligible.

So if the game engine and calculate Games Played, and Games Started, then the game engine should be able to determine eligibility. At that point, it's probably then a matter of just running the same MVP calculations for the eligible players.

It seems there's a general opinion that most posters here like the idea of the award, or at least nobody's against it. So if the computer folks can bang out the code, I think this should be a slam dunk. (Not that I mean to spark more discussion on the Slam Dunk Contest here...)

Don't ask what sort of Chunks they are, you probably don't want to know. Blowing Chunks since Season 4!

6th man award would be a great addition. innovations like these keep the ball rolling and make the game much fun. ROY also can be a great addition. 1st yr players in BB no matter which country or league they were drafted can be eligible. the more realistic the game is the more ppl will play it without getting bored for long a long time.
