I can see what you mean, but the occasional slump is to be expected. Your bigs may knock one down now and again, so do mine. My PF with average JS and pitiful JR has had 2-2 3fg games. Like other people said, they often get open looks.

I've taken a look at your team stats and all your SG's have pretty decent 3pt %. In fact Ortiz has a very good %. So you can't expect them to deliver every night, even when they're playing opponents with low OD. In the end we just have to look at statistics :P

did you also look at the shooting % for my non guards??

Ortiz is a great PG and as far as I have been told and see there are not many good PG out there so he doesnt have much competition...

My center malsch shoots 11 - 22 50%

My backup backup player Lants shoots 9-21 43%

Ortiz shoots 39 - 93 42% indeed i would be happy with that.

Than my 2 really good JS and JR guys

Tavares shoots 32% and Guardia shoots 22%. Knowing that most teams in my league are inside focused teams and have poor to close none excistent OD. I would say that is kind off low.

The funny thing is that Guardia has the highest combo JS and JR in my team...

I am sure people will have 10000s of reasons to explain that. But Malsch has more or less no JS and JR skills, neither does Lantz and they shoot 28% and 21% better percentages.

Like the other guy mentioned, that doesnt make any sense to me. But I was just trying to help the other guy. I have stopped trying to make sense off such numbers. As long as the best team wins, I am happy...

He's right. Your center has taken 20 shots whereas your guards have taken 90. It's like your center attempts one 3 pointer every game and scores one every two games. The other guys shoot more than 4 per game

Can you point us to the game in question?

I personally think you are oversimplifying the Pitiful(High) Perimeter Defense from the post-game scouting report.

What style of offense?
What defense did you face?

It could be that the player in question took a lot of contested shots if he's the best shooter on the team and while the team defense of your opponent was rated as Pitiful(High) in Perimeter Defense, maybe they focused solely on stopping that one player leaving the rest of your players to take more open shots.

That scouting report is just a blanket statement. There is no visual evidence of how well they played unless you actually go back and watch the game to verify what you are seeing.

If said player in question is taking a lot of uncontested shots, he could have just had a really bad night. My star player has those nights more than I'd like but I prefer to think he's suffering from the "Ben Gordon-syndrome".

Trained stamina makes getting the correct minutes more difficult. If you have semi-serviceable bench at least, you don't need it excpet for very top leagues (B3 and bigger countries top divisons I guess).

i agree with you on the stamina bit... alot off people are talking big about it. and some off these players in my opinion are very knowledgable about this game too. However, I have never trained it. Maybe once that i cant remember in 6 seasons time and I am doing perfectly in my div II...

Thanks for the explanation. But another thing has came up with this troublesome player. I trained him for 3 WEEKS of outside shooting alone and 4 weeks with PG and he hasn't improved at all. He has allstar potential and is at 23 years of age. What's happening?
