I chalk the EDH vs Visionaries result up to the HCA advantage which is ridiculous in this game IMHO. So moral of story, get HCA for the win.

Sure, that's lucky. And I pointed it out. Illusion doesn't seem too interested in the forums, I don't know how big a factor he thinks losing his three $10-15k salary players was. I doubt I needed that advantage to get past him but I wouldn't fault him for complaining. That's a very rare and visible factor that turned a competitive-but-felt-I-had-the-edge game into a boring 27-point blowout. So everyone knows what happened there and no one liked that game either.

A little more frustrating to lose on account of refs and synchronized off shooting days. Not to pour water on the trash talk fire but you do have a good team. If we played that game 100 times I think I'd only win about 60 of them...

Yeah, home court is worth like 31 points now I guess,
(32851489)
not counting the fact that my scoring SG (Vezbickas) was injured for that game, or that I upgraded Starampoulos to Aouati since then...

I guess I'll have to change my priorities for next season to take that into account.

I have always had a good FT shooting team.

I don't think I have ever bought a decent guy with less than inept FT Shooting and I train it at least once a season, it adds up when you have a stable roster.....

I'd settle on beating you 2 out of 100 times, as long as both wins are in the next three games. =D

Even if you then drew him week 1 in the cup... for 97 consecutive seasons?

I just wanted to be more like Stuart Scott & jumped on the opportunity to use the term "ridirkulous"... Speaking of ridirkulous, I had a truly "ridirkulous" game at the FT line at the beginning of the month: (32851507), 21 of 21 from the line. (went 17-28 in my playoff loss.)

Took at quick glance at your first 2 games this month: 11-17 FT (32851503), 10-16 FT (32851510). & your 1st round win: 5-8 FT (35876977). All come out to around the same %. Maybe those games are anomalies though. When we played you were 10-13 FT & I was 18-28. luckily it didn't cost me & i still got the W. (boo-yah)

----

FT shooting seems really random, at least on my team.
All the same player:
Season 10 -- 53-77 (69%) (awful / inept at the time)
Season 15 -- 45-71 (63%)
Season 16 -- 40-52 (77%)
So that's 69% on 77 attempts at awful to inept... After 5 seasons of training it drops to 63% (71 attempts), then rises to 77%!?! Once had a guy with tremendous FT shoot about 78% for the season (highest stamina & exp on the team too..)

Live Blog, Season 16 Finals Game 1:

1st quarter
0:02 -- just got back from jazzercize class, sorry I missed the 1st quarter.
0:01 -- 18 FT attempts by EDH against the Contortionists in the first quarter alone... bad sign?

2nd quarter:
11:14 -- EDH takes a timeout. The refs need a break from all that whistle blowing!
9:30 -- The refs make a mistake and call a shooting foul on the wrong team? First FT attempt by the Contortionists all game. Uh oh... no soup for you? (boo-yah?)
6:45 -- A non-shooting foul? What has the world come to?
1:40 -- Mandatory 30 second timeout taken by the Contortionists, so a promo of Franklin & Bash can be shown.

Half Time
15 straight minutes of Franklin & Bash promos. Hey, one's a lawyer. & the other's a... lawyer... hilarity ensues.
injury update -- Ángel Rocha has left the building & will not return.

3rd quarter
10:49 -- 6 point lead for the EDH Wolves.
9:25 -- lead down to 2 points. It's a 1 possession game!
6:15 -- Herbert Dušak can't buy a bucket
5:33 -- Dejan Sanković can't buy one either
4:26 -- big surprise! Contortionists in the penalty, EDH 0 fouls
1:36 -- first blocked shot of the game! the Wolves with the rejection
0:58 -- Contortionists with a block of their own.
0:45 -- a 3rd block! what kind of party is it?

4th quarter
11:07 -- 77-59... EDH Wolves & the referees with a commanding lead
8:14 -- Herbert Dušak plows his way over Hafiz Bdeir . how embarrassing
4:40 -- lead back up to 18
2:20 -- don't look now, but lead down to 12
1:40 -- Nima Soltani just flipped off his hometown fans following a powerful dunk
0:01 -- remember how I warned of the untrustworthy Sebastián Augusto Caffa? He's been accused of helping European blood doper Dejan Sanković obtain EPO
0:00 -- the Contortionists tried to get tricky and played look inside. they need to look inside their soul & ask themselves why they did that..

23 FT's or whatever is a great success. I just hope no one catches me for bribing the ref's to get it down that far.
