Of course the scrimmage itself gains huge interest. This discussion is about the (long, mid, short) term effect of the game concerning the next game(s).

Fair enough, but did it matter as much as a key Euro league or ACB game?

If you ask the coach ofc not.

If you ask to the fans i think yes.

Normally in our arena we have an assitance of 5300(also euroleague matchs is around this) and in St Jordi arena there were around 13.000.

So for LAL i'm sure their fans didn't care but ''for the weaker team'' their fans cared a lot.

Imagine FC Barcelona playing a SC and losing to a weaker team in a country where the soccer(football) is not popular, most sure is that the weak team notice an increse of their tickets.

When Barca beat LA-Lakers on a scrimmage game, about a year ago, don't you think that both fan bases had some affect due to that?

90% of LA fans didn't notice/care(they probably should have because Lakers played all of their regulars for the entire match). I don't even think Barca cared too much about the result. It wasn't an official league or tournament game. Same with scrimmages there should be no fan reaction to it.

Barça supporters we cared :D

There was a big expectation in our city for the match and the arena had almost full attendance(and the prices were high).

It was a prestige victory for our basketball team.
Thank you... And with that - Point, set and match

You didnt even bother reading his message. He was talking solely about the game vs. LA, not a single line about the outcome of the NEXT game.

"Interesting" that you are changing the argument...
The claim had been - there should be an affect of the scrimmage games, but just a smaller magnitude of affect.

"Point, set and match"?It still doesn't mean that scrimmages should have an effect for fan survey in buzzerbeater. In real life, there isn't minute management for gameshape or training. So in a friendly game in real life, you can play to win and since you are playing to win the fans might care. Most users who know what their doing in BB don't take scrimmages seriously because it is just for Game shape/ training.... Thus you were still wrong, Pini...

I guess this is your "neat" way to face the reality.
A reality where that game had a lot of affect on fan base, and as such brought a definite affect to the feeling for that fan base about the upcoming season.

And once again, the same bunch of users has no claim to support their original claim ("scrimmages should not affect fan base"), and as always goes to the all-mighty, always true, and full of strengthening claims for "This is not a real BB game".

Of course, and as always, there is not a single claim that connect that nonsense to the suggestion raised - why it should not affect the fan base.
Surprised I'm not.

I'm surprised Pini, I thought you were smart enough to connect the dots. Alright I'm a nice guy, I'll explain. Scrimmages should not affect the fan survey in buzzerbeater because in Buzzerbeater most of them are played without the intention to win. They are just for minute management. Usually I do not play my regular players in scrimmages. Most managers who understand gameshape and training do not play their best players in scrimmages. The winner in a scrimmage does not matter, thus the fans should not care.
