Bah you guys are just a bunch of cynical Old men.

I've always invested money into the draft and have had 3/5 hits even without 1st pick, allow me to show you.

Stuey Faka’osifolau was pick 15 in the season 14 draft by Brisbane Thunder (18085336) - 12 competitive U21 games and 4 U21 scrimmages

Amedeo Azaro was pick 16 in the season 15 draft by Brisbane Thunder (19609029) - 18yo MVP SF trainee coming along quite nicely, will expect him in the NT by the time he's 25.

Molly Marsh was pick 6 in the season 16 draft by Brisbane Thunder (21092754) - 18yo HoF SG trainee that didn't fit into my training plans so I sold him off (if only for 300k) as he was a long term project.

Long story short, even when only investing 10k per week in the draft, it is possible to get great players. Even so, I'd recommend saving your draft points if you'll be finishing higher in the season rankings as you may find a great player but he may get picked before you get a chance. Then it would be a waste.

I will be investing in draft points this season, only 1 per week, but I will not use it this season just to test out this method and see how it works. If it doesn't work out than next season I will actually be doing the draft with points because I will probably promote this season and have top 8 picks next season.
I already got some numbers, if you guys want you can use them, but I recommend using the ones you get from your own fortune cookie because those are your real lucky numbers!
4,8,15,16,23

P.S. If this method works, I love Chinese food!!!
PP.S. Even if this method works and I get an ATG with 8k salary I probably would probably just use it as a secondary method, meaning I will use my draft points and actually put the 5/5 players first and when I run out of good players I will use my lucky numbers!

CoachSK using slightly off your thing, but with my twist on it. My draft was a MEGA Success...

I did the 40k scouting until all-star break though, and then did the 10k after that.

Not sort-of helped... check in my Otherland Oracle thread.
those are the 3 guys I got, yeah, the 3rd round guy is a bum, that may or may not have minor value... but is generally a waste of time.

But, the first 2 guys. both PA, both decent starting skills.

I said sort of because you used quite a bit of cash as it seems, to get those players. Not a bad idea, but my strategy doesn't involve money. :)
