I think the problem doesn't lay without the ammount of people stopping the game.. this seems to be a steady number, but the ammount of new people signing up has dropped significantly, where it always was 3000+ per week, at the moment we are at 1800.. if the ammount of new players signing up increases, then we will grow again.. you will always have people that stop playing

well usually it's more people who start playing and never catch up than player here for many seasons stopping.
I think the amount of the first is much greater than the amount of the secound.

i think that the game will loose almost all its users on the much hyped doomsday(21st december 2012) :p
so yes by christmas we would dip below 40k :p

i just wonder can the BB assign better players to new users to keep them in this game? I mean for example 1-2 players with salary $5000-$7000 or ensure that every new team has 1-2 players who are under 22 and have good potential.

Most important is one that Wolph has brought up many times: new players should start in the lowest possible level.

but that would not do any good cuz out of 43k managers...i think that 13k people would not have logged in even once...apart from that giving atleast 2 young high potential players would only add more player to the TL as they would be trained for some time and then they will be put on TL for high prices and would not be sold.hence their talent would also be lost
