Agreed with your 1 and 2 top players. I can't believe Kosovic is getting sold! Is there a reason why you run Princeton? Not many people run that.

Good grief. I didn't realize Kosovic is getting sold. Quite the decision by Cincinnati Crusaders. I believe the Crusaders want to get some funds to buy a better team later since Kosovic is going to start getting skill drops soon due to old age.

As for why I run Princeton, I had decided that I wanted to create a team that greatly emphasizes Perimeter Defense. It greatly improves my chances of forcing turnovers and stopping those outside shots. The cost, of course, is inside defense and rebounding. I felt that the cost was worth it and that I would still be able to defend against teams that use the popular Look Inside tactic.

If you look at my games, most of my opponents end up with more turnovers than assists. Due to the nature of "Look Inside," which depends on the guards effectively passing the ball to the post, my defense can actually cause "Look Inside" to fail, especially against teams with low Offensive Flow.

As an example, my game against the Crusaders -> http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/56050132/boxscore.aspx
Although I couldn't stop Kosovic, I was able to limit the rest of his team, which produced only 11 assists with 14 turnovers.

To run 1-3-1, I run guards at the PG, SG, and SF position. I run an SF with good OD (or a SG with decent IS and ID) at the PF position. Then, for the Center position, I bought a player with extremely high ID and decent Rebounding to try and make up for the losses of 1-3-1. With this 4-guard lineup, I pretty much have two choices. Princeton or Motion. Since my Center and PF also happen to have a decent Passing ratings, I opted to run Princeton. The two games in which I ran "Push the Ball" were just experiments.

Looks like we play next. May the better team win! =)

That's interesting. I wasn't really sure how it works! That ridiculous Center of yours is the king of the court. I don't know how to get around him. Our game is going to be interesting!

Well, that certainly was an interesting game. I structured my team to be versatile so that everyone has a chance to score points. Something must have gone haywire, because I didn't expect one player to just dominate. Ridiculous, http://www.buzzerbeater.com/player/13199923/overview.aspx scored over a third of my points. Notice that he didn't play in the 3rd quarter due to foul trouble. And what happens in the 3rd quarter? You own me, 23-8. That's just incredibly odd. Either the rest of the team was lazy, or something with your defense worked. Well, first half didn't go so well for you, but good job in the 3rd quarter. =) Good game.

Great game! For both of us. That had to be one of the best defensive performances you've ever had. I should have just stuck with my outside game. I played Look Inside and my SF and SG were the leading scorers. Obviously my coach went back to the outside focus after a few quarters of the interior game. Notice how even my ratings are? And I started my $3000 SF, which probably explains why you dominated with your SF. I forgot why, I think I was hoping to allocate training minutes to other players. Dumb mistake which your team exploited. Maybe it was that Princeton offense. Really insightful on how I need to improve as a team. I hope we rematch again.

Yes, hopefully. Maybe we can meet in the finals =)
Assuming that I get past JDs Reign. Despite building my team to be better, I seem to have a weird unlucky streak against JD. I have a 0 wins, 5 losses record against them. ZERO wins and FIVE losses lifetime against JD. Obviously, there is some kind of mismatch between my team and his that causes me to lose. And I can't figure it out.
Anyway, I learned much from our game too. I notice that I was severely out-rebounded. Your team grabbed 25 offensive rebounds. You got 25 second chances to score. That's extremely bad for me, and I have to fix that. I came to the conclusion that I should simply stick to a Man-to-Man defense, and get a couple more forwards. So now, I'm going to run a 3 guard, two forwards lineup. I may have to experiment around. However, I am sure that if I improve my Rebounding, my team will be pretty much a crusher on defense. I like that idea very much.
I don't know what offense you should have ran. I think perhaps Low Post. Running an outside offense against a Prominent Outside Defense rating is just asking for it to be ripped apart. Look Inside seems to depend on the guards either driving to the basket or passing to a big man. My Outside Defense seems to be able to stop the driving well enough. After all, most of your guards missed many shots. I believe Low Post puts a lot more emphasis on the Center or PF, and that might have helped in exploiting my lower Inside Defense.
Good luck in your next game. =)

Eh, I don't quite have the mindset for the game anymore. I'm quitting. It's been fun, League V.50, while it lasted. I'm selling off my good players. If you're in need of some decent defensive players, feel free to bid. Farewell!
