Thanks, good game to you too! I was definitely feeling like, "whelp, here comes Lethargy, if I promote at least I will know I had to earn it."
We are both pretty old hats and I have known your squad is a tough out for many, many seasons. Always with smart tactical wrinkles, always with cost effective, slightly unorthodox players that overperform their salary and can be hard to neutralize. If I hadn't stretched my economy with some late additions once I saw home court was a possibility, I don't think we would have had enough juice to pull it out.
Even with the upgrades, I knew it would be a war. I was pretty sure this thing was headed to a 3rd game until that 4th quarter happened. I have been on the other side of those myself so I knew that it was possible given the 3's start to jack in the 4th quarter and I had an outside offense going up against a 2-3, but even with that it still comes down to a little buzzerbeater RNG so it was fingers crossed until the last 20 seconds basically.
I will enjoy my return to the NBBA for a 2nd time after a long hiatus but it may be another quick one season relegation because life is tough up there, so I will enjoy playing some of my draftees in a live NBBA game and try my best to avoid relegation, but who knows how long before I come crashing back down :)
Best of luck next season, I think we got a lot of good teams on both sided so I will be interested to see who scrambles to the top next year!
