Point made, and taken! :) But wouldn't it be fun if somebody had a ridiculously high skilled 2,21m tall PG :D

Unfortunately these players are very rare in here and searching them according height/PG skills in transferlist is almost impossible...

yes, ofcourse, but not if you have to train him for 10 years. If you draft him like that, that's awesome.

Doesn't take as long as you might think.

I didn't say he's skilled, I said training him takes less than you might expect.

I had to go check the Belgian league after seeing you are one of their BB3 representatives (congrats on your run)... now I know how you get away with your training regime!!! I even think that Japans I.1 is tougher!!!

I guarantee if you were in a league where you couldnt train as you do - you wouldnt..... am I right?!

very likely yes.

However I also have a sidenote.
As you can see I am prety succesfull in my league. Yet I cut down on scouting, spending only 10k each week instead of 20k last seasons. Knowing I am on top of the league and my overall supporter rating is 4,5 basketballs, we can assume I am drawing more crowds then others in my league. My arena is also much bigger then the rest of the Belgian arenas. Yet, I only make about 100k profit each weak (due to taxes, and not counting B3 and cup, since not every team is lucky enough to get money from those).
So I am wondering, except for the 3 other top teams (each conference's No 1 and 2) are the others capable of making profit, because if not, well they can't improve their team can they?
I am realy curious how this is for the rest of the countries...

A second sidenote: I don't realy know why, but it seems my team, with the lower wages they have, do seem to play fairly good and can beat teams which field players with higher wages. I think it is because I like a balanced team, and balanced players. My most balanced players always seem to perform the best.
Ofcourse when the diffrence is 85k to 10k, I'm not stupid and balance has nothing to do with winning anymore.
Maybe this also has influence on my training as much diffrent things as possible?

Anyway, as long as Belgian teams are unable to improve decently, I don't need a better trainingregime.

this is just my thoughts

on your second sidenote,

i think the GE has given more benefit players that were develop with a balance weigh in skills, rather compare to those players who has one or 2 really high level in skills compare to other skills.

salaries really has a big effect on very high skill level.

this is just me and i agree on what you say

just curious: what is your current training regime then?

every week I look which of my players where able to reach 48 minutes. Then I look in my table and have a look which of the trainingtypes will be the most effective that week, and set it.
This way I train the max possible amount of overall skillsraise for the enitre team, but can't develop monsterplayers.

I believe there are 2 ways of playing in BB. For I'll tell that in HT there is only 1 effective, since in HT players only use 1 main skill and a few sideskills, so you are best to train 1 thing, and MAYBE train a secondary now and then, otherwise you will fall behind very quickly. You can seel excess players and buy other players for the other postions.
This works in BB as well, however I also feel it is possible in BB to train your whole team rather then fixing on 1 skill and 1 or 2 positions, and still stay competitive, because you do not need to spend money on TL, and you can shape your players as you like them, which is more important here then in HT. Should you train here only in 1 skill and sell excess player to get player for other position, you will always be stuck with a few shortcommings on your new player, which will start hurting the minute you play him, and will last until you have trained him for it, which you don't
The positive side is he will be a little better in his main skills, but in the end I think it compensates somehow.
I'm not saying it is better, I'm just telling it is more likely to stay competitive this way here, then it would be in HT. And I think many users comming from HT, think focussing training on 1 specific type is the only way to go, because it is so in HT...
