Certainly teams in Real Life bring in players on short term needs. However I dont think ANY pro team would be buy/sell 20 players a week (much less in a day).
if team management did that it would have an awful effect on the front office to actually MANAGE the team. also the fans would become really confused and not attend.
SO, I agree that the recently instituted TAX is not a bad idea (however the first 1 or 2 trades a month should have minimal tax)
But to really hit the day traders in the knees would be the a 10% DECREASE in attendance for every player bought in a month over a threshold (maybe 5 a month ?)
anyway, with the tax and a decrease in attendance, maybe it would make it less attractive to "day trade"

First, I was not complaining. I merely stated a REAL team would not/could not effectively trade many players week in and week out. And if they did, the fans would become somewhat unhappy with all the trading and thus would be less likely to attend.
A natural effect to what occured. So why not have that this game.
While I do admire people who have the time and talent to buy low and sell high, buzzerbeater is NOT a stock simulation game, thus people who do make significant numbers of trades are not becoming better based on solely on their basketball management skills, but rather on their stock trading skills.

*offtopic*

Did you know already that Santa isn't allowed anymore to say 'ho ho ho' in Australia, because that means whore. Hehe.

THERE'LL be no ho, ho, ho this Christmas. Aspiring Santas have been told not to use the term "ho" because it could be seen as derogatory to women.

Thirty trainees at a Santa course in Adelaide last month, held by recruitment company Westaff, were urged to replace the traditional festive greeting with "ha, ha, ha".

The term "ho" is also American slang for a prostitute. "We were told it (ho) was a derogatory term for females and can upset people," said the Santa, who did not want to be identified publicly.

it actually quite makes me sad to keep reading that DT is not reality...

this is a game for Christs sake....

a game

a lot of people like strategic or fighting games. How real is it that you have to hit every oponent the same amount of times, or have to do the same amount of damage to get him killed, or that you have to get shot at least 3 or 5 times yourself before being killed,.... do you hear someone complain about it not being realistic?

As a matter of fact give me 1 game that is totally realistic...

we've thought about adding a team chemistry modifier that would be best for teams that have been together the longest.

what about something similar to the NT? if they drop or replace a player it effects enthusiasm...

ive got a dead cert NT player that aint in his NT as the manager is scared of the enthusiasm drop!

if this was similar then it would encourage organic growth and teams would evolve only when upgrading...

good point mouthlino,
unless the modifier calculates with all payers in the team, not just the line ups.

I see an other posible downside though.

This might encourage teams to stick to their players too long, thus keeping players that get a little old to be succesfully trained.
