It should be another exciting night of post-season action. I bought a courtside ticket at Doof Arena so I can heckle Frederick Warren.

Well, the way things have been going, that will be of absolutely no concern to me.

I am four rows back in sec. 137. I am hoping warren gets close enough so I can throw my soda at him! Maybe he'll come into the stands and get suspended? I would kick his ass after he blames my girlfriend for throwing it at him.

In the better late than never department, it wasn't Lemonshine, although I'm sure you were tongue in cheek. But it was Blind Lemon Jefferson, and he did write a song called "See that my grave is kept clean". Great musician, but hard to find recordings anymore. You can hear "Black Snake Moan" on YouTube.

Yea, I was familiar with the name -- on his first album Dylan covered "See That My Grave Is Kept Clean".
Dylan also named one of his most literarily analyzed songs "Blind Willie Mctell". The first line is "I've been all through East Texas..." Mctell was from North Carolina, but I found out that Jefferson was indeed from East Texas. It's possible Dylan used Mctell because Jefferson's a hell of a word to rhyme with over five verses.
Hmm...can't remember anyone pointing that out before, but with the sheer volume of stuff written about Dylan, and the twelve monkeys with twelve typewriters theory, I'm sure someone has.
The little I've heard of Jefferson makes him a more likely candidate. The chorus goes "But I know no one could sing the blues like Blind Willie Mctell". Mctell was interesting, but his stuff was more good-time more Saturday-night-having-a-drink-on-the-porch stuff, often very funny, not really a likely inspiration for an epic ballad.

Why do you feel it's going to be brutal season 37? Whats the logic or vision behind why that's the case?

Yea, I see the red side being just as difficult as always, though the law of averages would indicate that eventually the blue side would start to catch up in quality. The blue side actually won a relegation series this season, which may or may not have happened in my time here.
Is there some kind of disaster impending, the existence of which the rest of us are not privy? Are you the one who's going to make us privy? Are we to await at the open windows of our buildings, waiting for the call to leap in despair?
