The combine tells you nothing that the interview won't tell you. If you do the combine, you still have to do the interview. There just aren't enough points for both. I'd rather do the group workout, and after that, get as many interviews in as possible.

As for people trying to "cash in" on points error, I don't agree. When I spent $40k a week scouting and the system told me I had X points, I assumed it was correct and proceeded accordingly. Then more than half those points disappear and I'm sitting with no interviews done. I assume I get more points between now and the end of the season, but without the combine, I could have done 5 interviews.

pretty cool draft system. Thanks guys.

Only wish I had a trial run to experiement on before trying it out myself.

For me I'd go Combine -> individual interviews and gamble a bit more ; )

too bad i have to wait a whole season to try that -__-;;;

Hi Edju / bb crew

There is still a problem with the scouting system - i am supposed to have 17 points for scouting at the moment and i only have 13...

u can see the scouting report:
Date Transaction Credit Debit
6/7/2010 Weekly scouting costs $ 10 000
6/14/2010 Weekly scouting costs $ 10 000
6/21/2010 Weekly scouting costs $ 10 000
6/28/2010 Weekly scouting costs $ 0
7/5/2010 Weekly scouting costs $ 0
7/12/2010 Weekly scouting costs $ 0
7/19/2010 Weekly scouting costs $ 5 000
7/26/2010 Weekly scouting costs $ 10 000
8/2/2010 Weekly scouting costs $ 10 000
8/9/2010 Weekly scouting costs $ 10 000
8/16/2010 Weekly scouting costs $ 10 000
8/23/2010 Weekly scouting costs $ 10 000

spent a total of 85000 which should be 17 points ( and i had 17 before the fix) but after the fix i got 13 and no one scouted.

I think you're going back two weeks too far. There have been 10 weeks since the draft list was released last season.

Your scouting on 6/7 definitely doesn't count. The one on 6/14 is debatable since the game on 6/12 was still part of regular season and playoffs started on 6/15. Maybe they started on 6/21 which was definitely during season 12 playoffs. So... 13.

I think Demo > Combine. Those unscouted 5 balls can actually be 2 balls. But the few 1, 2 balls that turned into 4, 5 balls from the Demo are definitely worth it.

but then it's not suppose to be in the report of this year - is it?

besides - i had 17 points before the fix - when i looked today and things were fixed i only had 13 .

i only joined the gamelate last season- and i spent some money on scouting then - but didn't get the points to spread on scouting - so i still think that i am suppose to count them...

I have 20 points left to spend...

I spent 10 on researching 19 "bad" players.

If I were to allocate them to 5 ball players or allocate them to unviewed players, which is the better choice? Spending 1 or 2 to get limited knowledge.

This is assuming I don't have the money to review heights/age...

I am thinking it better to scout new players and see how many 5 star players i get to expand my pool of picks available...

thoughts anyone?

I would go for interviewing the 5 ball 18 year olds first to get their potentials. And by 5 ball, I don't mean the baseline rating but the star rating.

The points before the fix were wrong. Hence, the fix. The scouting points pre-6/21 was used for the season 12 draft. There's a cut-off date, so even though you feel you're supposed to get them, I don't believe you will.

i am still gonna wait for an official response for that - but thanks for the opinion anyway.

like i said before - since the money i spent on scouting on the 7/6 and on the 14/6 didn't appear in my 12 season draft scouting
i still think that it's a mistake - but hey- i might be wrong - only the gods of bb know (:
