There appears to be a lot of frustration due to a few cases. I had no idea ~10 were being caught a week as I've only been aware of less than a handful. The issue here is the effect these rare cases are having. There's not a lot of star players on the TL, so when they hit the market and we're all after them and a cheater swoops in on that popular player a lot of us will notice this.

I had assumed most cheating allegations where dealt with manually by BB/GM, not through automated means. As the BB/employed staff already have so much to do, isn't it possible to give GM's the power to deal with individual cases which have been reported (maybe by multiple users)?

I think that last thing we, at least I, would want to do is push you all into additional hours of programming. If the current tools are working at the rate you stated then the system isn't broken, just needs some individual attention to the small number of cases which are having and impact and making it appear as that cheating is rife.

he is in this team: Jundiaí Basquete Clube
for 720k..

It's good to point out that this team, that bought Serif Çeri (776482), is not a cheater. His transfers are in order.

BB-Charles is actually working on tools for us GM's so we can deal with cheaters.

BB-Charles:
I'll also tell you that you have a great group of GMs who are telling us as loudly as possible the same things you are -- they are desperate for us developers to give them better tools. So in short, I'm going to ask you guys to give us a week, and within a week I expect we'll be able to have something good to report back.

From BB-Charles:

It's also the case that it's really not fair to individual teams to be accusing them of cheating in public. I understand the reason this is happening is that you are unable to accuse them in private and get a satisfactory response, but it's also true that part of the solution is that cheating complaints need to be moved off of public forums.

As a reminder, please do not post specific cheating allegations. We're allowing this thread to continue so that the true scope of the cheating issue can be known. Trust us, no one is aware of the scale of this problem more than the GMs and the BBs. However, the conference rules must still be enforced.
