-really good teams have high passing on their SG, SF, etc. These players will in essence "steal" assists from the PG.

To amplify Paper's point I use two PG's as starters both with well over 10 passing (I wont give the exact # for NT reasons). Both of them steal Assists from each other as well as my bigmen who have high passing.

Another factor is that every rebound shows up on the boxscore and Matchviewer, however not every pass does. A pass needs to be above a certain quality, X, in order to be counted as an assist. A few seasons ago the BB's lowered X so that more assists we're being shown even though more assists weren't necessarily being made. This makes it hard to judge the exact output of a players Passing.

I am not sure that does the modification justice. As far as I know, what they did was to actually increase the effectiveness of passing. I am not sure if I interpret that as a "lowering of X".

Are you sure? I was pretty -> very sure it was just lowering the threshold of what was considered an assist.

I know a PG in my league who have done 14 passing in 3-4 games and leading the passing board 9,8

My main PG have done few 9-10 passing but still lot of low passing to.. (6,6)

Its what headpaper said, BB's gave more importance on passing by increasing their effect.

Why should it be illogical? Everything depends on the league you're playing in. For example, (5952825) this player has phenomenal passing but he averages 7 assists per game

What do you mean here? Is enough to have one/two great assistman per team or you're saying that tall of them are giving their contribution? Taking as example a team with lvl 20 in reb for every single player, do you think that this team will take 200 rebounds? My opinion is that there is a limit in the numbers of assists and really if you've great players with high passage probably you've wasted some more useful training but I still don't know which could be the best compromise. What do you think about it?
