No real surprises in the end, though it wasn't an easy night for all the winners, Tatatallfella needing overtime to beat the Droxford Admirals, or Admirables as they were tonight.

Five EBBL teams left, and they're not average teams at all. They're ranked 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6. Looks like the EBBL want the Cup back this year.

and, it being the EBBL, the teams ranked 5 and 6 are the two best teams in the country this season.

I'd take any of the other 5! Although, I'd rather not have to tame the Tigers.

So that gives me a 50/50 chance!

Well done to the four semi finallists, commiserations to the other three defeated teams. Its a bit of a disappointment to go out at this stage. I felt going in I had a chance, for one thing my game shape was spot on, and also I didn't think Granbalagh would be playing, him having played twice already. I expected my tactics tonight to allow me to take advantage of whatever hole he left, and of course, with the hole gone, I had a very difficult night. We found it difficult to get round his outside D, particularly early, and his consistent shooting was killing me.
At least I was pleased with the mini fightback in the fourth quarter, closing the gap from 18 to 9 in three minutes, but it didn't last.
Best team won of course, which is as it should be.
On a side note, I did get a little tired of Julien Lescarret passing so often to SuperHands players. Obviously he recognised their uniforms.

Good game, you made me pull out all the stops at least, I wouldn't have got away with resting anyone.

Game shape is gonna be interesting next week after that.

Sorry for the teams I beat this season that would have been able to win the tournament.

But due to very stressful real life events I failed to set a line up tonight and miss the opportunity to win it this season...

Let's hope this isn't the end to a so far successful season...

Eventually it will sort itself all out, but I am in a really bad divorce at the moment. Hope I won't miss too many lineups. But more crucial than this one is hard to beat. Think I will never get such a good shot at the double again. Played this game 5-6 years, hope it wasn't all for nothing...

Unlucky man. Cup's always a lotto anyway.

Good luck to the finalists.
