Teams playing TIE are tipically like your team: A good team who plays against not so good teams, so they can win even TIE vs. Normal. So the stadistics are too optimistics...
Anyway, even with this, don´t you think that 50:50 is too risky for a quarter of final playoff? Only one match... It is like throwing a coin!

well but 50:50 that was only for CT/N and home and away option....there is still few factors:
1. Your tactics choice VS opponents tactics choice
2 Your enthusiasm VS Opponents Enthusiasm
3 Your players skills VS Opponents player skills
4 Random factor :)

Anyway If you think about finals and promotion, I think it is suicide to CT, because for example if you have E=9, after CT you will have E=5-6, and what you will gona do in next game? again CT? then your E will be aprox 3, and what to do in finals then?

By the way, here are some aggregate statistics, so that we can look at TiE/CT effects as a whole instead of individual examples. These are obviously not randomly-selected games, since teams attempt to choose TiE/CT for tactical reasons.

When both teams play TiE, the home team has a record of 417-277.
When the home team plays TiE against normal, it has a record of 829-826.
When the home team plays TiE against CT, it has a record of 104-200.
When the home team plays normal against TiE, it has a record of 1262-483.
When the home team plays normal against CT, it has a record of 703-759.
When the home team plays CT against TiE, it has a record of 265-38.
When the home team plays CT against normal, it has a record of 1171-357.
When the home team plays CT against CT, it has 205-107.

I did not include normal vs. normal, since those will be mostly bot games, but globally the home team edge is at around 63%.

NOw I am firs with 21-1 (only lost a game I TIE with enthusiasm of 2 after a cup final)
I am first and i play a guy that is defenetly going to CT me.
He as I can see has ET 5, I have 9,
I have beaten him twice
1. Home court with 20 point then away with 32 points.
Since then the only changes in a team is that he bought a center with 6400wage, and I have bought a center with 9700wage.

And buy this you all say I shoud CT him too. That is funny, even my reserves could beat him, ????
Is it even possibile for him to beat me, ???
I played agains the 2nd best team in my legue and beat him with more then 20 points and I TIE with 7 enthusiasm and he played normal with 5.

My opinion is that you must not CT definately....anyway CT before finals it is silly....if you are in first place and have home court advantage....I will definately play Normal....I dont see even other options....:D Someone just raised the question that need to CT in first game and I wanted to show some arguments that it is not necesary...unless your goal is just to get one more game....:D

I see all what you say, and I agree with you. Tactic and Enthusiasm strategies should be the most important things. But you cannot count on all this parameters working only for you. I already said that much better teams will not have problems.
You can choose the best tactic, line-up your best players, and maintain a good enthusiasm. Logically the other team will do the same.

Anyway, it is up to you. I haven´t decided yet what to do. But I just try to point out that playing normal with the current game engine is risky when you don´t have a really better team. If you loose, you will go home with your enthusiasm.
Playing consecutive CTs is not suicide, as the CT effect is not decreased with the decreasing enthusiasm so you can compensate the lower enthusiasm.

Let's say that playing CT compensate the HCA so similar teams are 50:50 in the quarter of final.
What about playing the final with E=1 at you field. Your opponent will hardly have E=5, so not a really big difference. If you play at home, I guess you will get again to 50:50, but this time you have 3 matches and several different strategies. Definitely you are no dead.

What is more risky for you: playing 1-match playoff with 50:50 or playing the 3-matches final starting with 50:50? Not to mention that playing the final you will get the money of 4 matches for sure.

I hope I could explain my point on this topic. Of course very brave teams will enjoy the risk, and they will get some advantage if the go on playing. We will see what happens tomorrow night...

Check out my last game vs my Play-Off opponent... Back then both of us had Enthusiasm of 5, he played home and CTd me and I lost by only 13 points... Now I'll have home court advantage, Enthusiasm of 9 (or 8), he will have 5 at most, and I must be crazy to CT... I mean, I can lose, but statistics show I can lose with everything I pick :)

I think the new enthusiasm system definitely allows people multiple-CTs without being hurt so much to the next game.

RED Porto Alegre, in Brasilian div1 beat Vitoria Devils (last seasons cup winner and 2nd at this regular season) with a CT. Played a TIE and CTed again to beat Borobia Stars (former cup champion and a finalist this year). Last round he played Normal to beat Atlético Bulls, in 4th position then.

In 4 rounds: CT / TIE / CT / Normal

getting 3 wins.

His team isn´t wonderful, and finished the season second from last in his conference, but was still able to pull these very impressive wins against some good teams.

Correct me if I´m wrong, but I think if he had done this under the old enthusiasm system he would have lost all 3 games after the first CT.

Let's say it this way: You say CT always gives you the same amount of performance... Let's say 2 points... If you have Enthusiasm of 5, 5 + 2 = 7... If you drop to Enthusiasm of 1, 1 + 2 = 3... Then, with Enthusiasm of 1, you'll still be bad even if you play CT...

Or you wanna say that you'll always perform the same when playing CT? If it's that way, everything else is irrelevant, let us all play CT every game :)
