As I suspected, this whole mess was somehow triggered by the Daylight Savings Time change in the US, where our servers reside. At 3AM EST, the clock changed to 4AM in the US, instantly running transfers for all players with auctions ending during that hour, including this player. While the player was affected negatively by this fact, his auction would have ended half an hour later than it did. This is nothing out of the ordinary, it happens every year when US switches and the rest of the world doesn't.

The bug that affected others a couple of hours after that was much severe and while probably triggered by the change, it definitely needed fixing and undoing the transfers that already ran.

I agree that this doesn't seem fair, so I'm open to suggestions on possible solutions.

I thought the US time had something to do with it.

Given the overall glitch level, surely the only fair solution is to re open the auction for this player as has been done for other effected players? An extra 24hrs from the original sell time?

As I said, the player was not affected by the glitch that affected most other auctions, but by something that happens every year. Because of this difference, the same fix has not been applied. I'll discuss this with my colleagues and decide.

Fact is his auction ended earlier than it was supposed to, due to a time zone glitch that apparently led to a wider problem.

That his auction finished prematurely due to a time change and not allowing bids to the end of auction I hope will lead to the right decision.

The staff transfers ar still not undone but as I understand won't be reset.

Hi Marin,

Did you and colleagues reach an agreement?

If the transfer is to be reset obviously the sooner the better for everyone.

I have been very disadvantaged by this time change and early auction finish and wider glitch.

Not yet. There is no guarantee you will get the player, even if we relist him, though. I must say, as time passes, chance of relisting becomes smaller and smaller.

is there anything in particular you're waiting for?

the players countdown clock jumped forward
a further massive glitch was realised where additional countdown clocks jumped forward
the player auction time was 15:29 -at 15:11 I was looking at the sold player.

i would think that given the huge glitch where the EXACT same thing has happened from that moment onwards that this is fairly straight forward?

Furthermore, BB set the auction time for this player as owner was retired. Surely you agree this qualifies for a reset?

I appreciate I may be outbid if relisted...the way this has gone that'd probably happen! XD

Hi Marin day and a half has gone by since the glitch.

This has been my most disappointing BB experience to date.

How it’s not been accepted that this player was subjected to the larger clock glitch is absolutely beyond me given the fast reset of other players.

As a long time supporter and donator, incredibly disappointing.

OK, I had conferred with my colleagues and they basically agree with me: the player should not be re-listed. I know this is not what you wanted to hear but bear in mind that even if he was re-listed, there was no guarantee you'd get him.

The reason why he should not be re-listed is, like I said, this was not part of the ensuing glitch, it was due to a thing that happens every year. So, if we never re-listed players due to that in the past, there is no reason to start now.
