"The general manager is doing everything he can to try to improve the team"
"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

i agree that domestic players even if only average sell more jerseys than better foreign players, but only around their region.
frydek though should be a team that sells worldwide. they made it to the semifinals of bbb and have some of the best players off the world on their team. why would mello for example, a brazilian nt player with almost 100k salary as a pg, not sell his jerseys at least in brasil? the mavericks make quite some money with selling nowitzki jerseys in germany.
on the other hand is bb only in their 10th season and has some way to go to make the game more realistic while the main goal for the bbs will likely be to attract new users and make this a fun game for everyone from the beginning and i think nowadays its hard to run a new club, you hardly can afford players who are helpful. and starting the carreer with 15 domestic players might help to keep the new users

i don't know how facetious i am being with this suggestion, but how about an option to "train" a foreign player in the local language, able to do interviews in the local vernacular, get him familiarized with the culture, get him doing ads, that sort of thing?
instead of dumping 100,000 on changing the name of an arena, spend 8500 a week on a language/culture coach, a private tutor.

i dont think all fans are racists in some way :) but i think its just natural that you support a young guy comeing from your city instead of someone from anywhere no matter if he speaks the language or not
