I've never heard of players becoming "bored" due to training in this game. I'd have to say thats completely made up.

I do however feel rotating training is effective due to secondary pops helping.

If a skill is too far ahead of other skills, it trains slower. I guess that's what he meant.

Not much of training has been statistically proven due to the complexity of training, and this particular fact is supported by official statements from the BB team (I don't recall whether it was in the forums; it might simply be in the rules).

If I had to guess, I'd say this you can't necessarily define too far, this feature is probably always in effect and gets particularly noticeable as players become progressively imbalanced.

Thats what i meant just i used the term 'bored' as a GM used it in a previous discussion. The impression i got was training slows if u do the same training for more then 5 or 6 weeks in a row.

it depends more on the side skills, if the connected skills are higher in comparision to the trained one it goes faster if the trained one is higher is reduced the tempo. If you start like me with player who miss one skill(all my trainee had problems with JS), there is no big problem to train this for a long time.

Yeah, the way I understand it is say you are training a player in Shot Block. Well, Shot Block training speed depends on the players Inside Defense so if ID is around Average (6) for example, then SB would train slower than if ID was around Respectable (7). The difference might not be as great as if ID was 6 for one player and 12 for another player but the point still remains. ID teachs the player how to position themselves properly to force poorer shots when defending the paint so therefore, their Shot Blocking skill correlates to how well they position themselves.

Does this mean that if you have a player who is Proficient in Driving but has Average IS...if you try to train one on one he won't get as much out of it because his other skills are not as high?

We are here to discuss a game which the designer can't and shouldn't give out its exact programming

So keep the crazy assumption and out of the world theory
if you don't want to hear those textbook game manual from the GM XD
