If you say: ok it's because I wanted to get to 20k fast and therefor build other seats first. then... how do you explain that limitting to 500 and 50 would be negative compared to being able to build more?


let say you have an etat from 5 miollions to build your arena, one time you build 100/1000 vip/sourtside next time just 50/500. Would your arena look the same?

So you should look for more seats not for less ;)

no matter how hard I try, I still can't see why limitting the courtside seats and VIP boxes, could negatively affect anyone, towards planning and diminishing their arenas...


It does, because it looks really weird. Imagine that you couldnt build to yourself a house efen if you had a money for that. Its like twisted communism.

Even if you had gazillion dollars, you could not make all the seats courtside. We can argue how many rows (and how many seats you can fit in one row) are actually considered courtside. 500 seems a normal enough number for that, 5 rows with 100 seats each or 10 rows with 50 seats each. Whichever you like. I believe we can agree that there can not be 5000 seats courtside. Even if you build a small glass bowl to surround the court and clue people to it, you still could not prolly find room for 5000...

Good point. But how is possible that you can find so many visitors intirested to see a match? This is something I cannot understand.

Imagine that once you start to play a game, you need to build up arena over and over. So while we are talking about how realistic is to fit in 5000 courtside seats, I doesnt understand how realistic is to get so many interested fans, willing to go in there.

I agree that in real life there is no way we get 20k people coming to watch our first division game. But the attendance has to be similiar for all countrys because it's needed to run the game. Some things you can't take from real life, some you can.
You can look at filling the arena this way. You start out with an arena that has space for 25k (or whatever number you like to build). You have 50 vip boxes, but theyr interior is not finished. So before you finish that you can not sell it to someone. Or you have a spot to install coutside seats, but you have to buy the seats.

Hmm, what about have it this way - you have some space available (well, might be for 40k bleachers alone or for 800 VIP seats (example)). You can build whatever you like, however your space is limited.

That means you can develop your arena for the guy who will visit you like on every game and like to pay for it, but there are plenty of these which like to see just winning or somehow interresting games.

So there is a dilema between stable lower income and unstable higher income. Well, how unstable will be, depends pretty much on your skills and your winning strikes.

So we would see by the time arenas like:

Bleachers : 15000
Lower Tier : 8000
Courtside Seats : 330
Luxury Boxes : 15

Bleachers : 5000
Lower Tier : 3000
Courtside Seats : 1000
Luxury Boxes : 100

Indeed that is pretty rough, but you get the point..

Important is the fact that it would create a real reason for diminishing or recuperating arena with the time or will

this is getting so far off...

the initial question was when the period will be that people can diminish their arena's (added info, because it initially was not said explicitly, but after a while was clear it was about that subject: because of the second change announced by the BBs)

answer to that question: there will be no such period, as the diminishing (if needed) happened autoamatically.

period.

PS for crazy-eye: I don't realy see your point, but to answer this question of yours, what happens if you build 100/1000 and then 50/500, would it look diffrent? no it wouldn't, in each case, wheter you build one or the other, or even both amounts, you end up with 50/500 as that's the limit...

if you plan with 100/1000 you have to invest lot more money there right? Staying a lot under the soft cap, is in my eyes economical not good. If you now have limited founds, it affects how many bleacher lower tie you build, because you have more/less money tp put in the cheap categories with the same target reaching the 20k fast.
Before the limit was introduced, you could plan with 100/1000 but land as a surprise at 50/500 but maybe already have the bleachers you would have build for the 100/1000 arena.

yes, I more or less see your point now. But if I do, I still don't see a big (negative) impact on the whole thing.
People who expanded past the 50/500 limit had tickets sold for those seats (I did, and if not there was no point in building them, unless the other type of seats wasn't sold out either, and then it again doesn't influence anything) When their number was turned back, they got the refunds which they then could use to expand other seats if wanted. In most cases people build all seats equivalently, or build the lower cost seats first. For them it has no negative impact at all.
For the few that might have build the expensive ones first (which isn't very smart either, but okay, maybe there are such people who did like to do it that way) you can argue they had a negative impact as they might have been waiting for the money they would get back to build the other type of seats, and that's called bad planning, as BB anounced the cap, and only after a period of time, executed the change.

BUT this has nothing to do with the question initially asked.

i got them for one game and splitted ;) Because i started dramatically building them, after the first change(maybe my VIP was over already but the lower tie was finished during the PO) and also to deconstruct my arena first to get the fonds.

And as i said when i plan with 16,9k/3k/1000/100, i could also start to build the bleacher first, and probadly i would do this because it is higher short time income and you put the earning in the more expensiv seats.

In most cases people build all seats equivalently, or build the lower cost seats first. For them it has no negative impact at all.


as i said that isn't right ;)

For the few that might have build the expensive ones first (which isn't very smart either

well, it WAS anounced weeks before they got broken down to 50/500, so I don't see why you still build them over those numbers, in the period it was known they would be limited...
