I didn't like new feature " roles " !

I think its awesome, because it gives me a rough idea of opponents behaviour in how he uses his team. This is very usefull information for a quick-check, because most of the time is quite sufficient just to check ratings and tactic from past 3 games.

I would like to have the opportunity to filter this thing out differently, so more priority will be on starters or more priority could be in played minutes (in the case that this team usually win by big numbers). also could be great if I could switch between shorter and longer period. So 1 full match in the checked week can give me rotation player, while this can be different for past month. Maybe there could be * (star) or something that tells me that this player was injuried during that period.

Im not sure if it isnt too much information, but I would be quite satisfied with 1 thing like that. Problem is that top teams are looking quite similar, especially if they are clever, so I think that it could be more usefull.

It would be an awesome feature if it did eventually (if it dosen't already) correlate to things like the fan survey and/or request for transfers, it makes for a bit more realism. I'm keen to wait and see how it all goes.

I really like this new feature, its nice to be able to place players according to roles. Its not perfectly in line with how I've used players on my team but still very nifty. I just hope in future these roles will start to influence how a player plays in-game.

I don't know if this is really useful like it is now - I have a team full of starters (9 man roster - 7 starters).

This feature now seems as an aspirant to "most useless feature" now. But I can imagine correlation to "I am familiar with the star players, and am not afraid that they will be transferred" in Fun survey or something else.

After reading BB-Charles update and looking at my players roles all I could think was.....interesting, but what is the point?

After reading this post to see if there was one the above response was the best I could come up with. Also mentioned was easier quick scouting, but I think this would be more misleading than actually looking at the player card to see exactly how he is used. Also maybe an effect on salary rollover? Hmmmm.

Maybe in season 16 they could add a new skill called 'Media Skill", where we can see how savvy our players are with the media.....but not be told what this new skill actually effects. Some people will know of course, and they can make adjustments while the rest try and figure it out.

Not everything in the game HAS TO HAVE a purpose of doing something. It's just something to look at.

Agreed. However if it DOES have a purpose it may be important to know what it is.

I also saw someone listed backup as higher than rotational player. If you sort your roster by roles it seems the order is reversed, with rotational player higher than backup

Yeah, since that post seems to have caused confusion, I can update it. (Though it was accurate at the time I posted, the numbers have been changed since then.)

Roles:

1 - draws a paycheck
2 - end of the bench
3 - backup
4 - rotation player
5 - regular starter
6 - key player

(Mystery solved.)
