Well you should be 3-1 if not for that very close upset hich would be ine. I am also making a slight transition.

Welcome to all the new teams. The game can have a lot to learn but with minimal knowledge you can make a great start with your team.

Welcome to all the new teams. The game can have a lot to learn but with minimal knowledge you can make a great start with your team.

I've mailed every one of them, pointing them towards help via the newbie thread - and offering assistance.

Liked my win last night - a 16 pt win over my rival is always nice, especially when we're both going for it... but I'm kind of in a quandary about going for it this season. The two new trainees I'm going to end up with are going to require a lot of development, and I'd also like to develop some of Li's secondaries. I'd also like to build my arena up a bit...
If promotion happens - great... but going to put development/arena first.

Your team effort for this game: Normal
Terry Bogard put more into this game than Kyoto Shogun.

Well at least he is consistent, wants to bury us both. It was the same trap as well, his arena, him springing a CT, but the difference was this was my only hard game of the week, I had a chance to build enthusiasm and Zhang Minhua has been fighting hard for his job recently, this MVP performance has convinced me to stick with him for a while longer.

It was a great win for NKRK and very important too. If things stay as they are then there will be four promotions as usual but the teams from 2/3 and 2/4 will then relegate creating two extra spots for those with the best record who didn't win the championship. Now the problem could be that they are all in 2/2 because it is much easier there but I am hoping that some of us here in 2/1 can get the extra promotion just as our "special friend" did last season after losing the finals.

Well, the B8/G8 are just about full - first time since I've been that we've even 'officially' had a full slate of teams.
However, in the G8 - challenger2 is only time away from botting out, and in the B7 there are a few teams that haven't been on for nearly a week (NICOBUKURO & Machida Bulls) - always a worry when you're a *new* team. Hopefully, the new guys will stick.

Kyoto continues to dominate - looks like you're keeping Sonoda?
The G8 looks exactly like I expected, well... pretty much. A lil' surprised tanoshii is 3rd. Inter-conference play starts up next week - that's where it's going to get interesting. が失われることはありません's salary has to be killing him with those two higher guys (75k/47k) and only a tiny arena.

Cup... damn, I wish I was lucky like *some* and didn't have to face live opponents!

I think I am the "some" this is my 3rd bot in a row. One bit of good news under big pressure from Wolphman I bought a level 6 trainer which wasnt cheap and ate a big chunk of my last million. I don't think I will be adding anyone else until very late in the season now.

After listing both Sonoda and Zhang a couple of times I couldn't get what I wanted for them (I know I overpaid for Sonoda) so it looks like they are both staying.

New player Luis also is starting well, I know challenger2 isn't the biggest challenge but scoring 42 is always nice, he also has been heading towards triple double territory a couple of times including against Terry Bogard. Obviously not as strong as my old $113k player Uljasz but he actually has some better secondary skills and the $24,000 a week is much better on my bank balance so I am up to over $200,000 a week profit again.

As for the new teams I am excited to see this:

11/24/2011 - MadRipper has just acquired Secundino Balteiro for $ 124 900.

This is the smartest purchase I have seen a new team make for ages.

Secundino Balteiro (22595460)
Center
Owner: MadRipper
Weekly salary: $ 4 487
Role: draws a paycheck
(BuzzerBeta)
DMI: 10700
Age: 19
Height: 7'5" / 226 cm
Potential: MVP

Great height and potential means he will train fast and long and give him a JBBL standard player one day. Great buy.

Last season in interconference our top 4 went 32-0, I don't think we will be even close to that this season but it will be interesting. The big8 is much stronger this season and the great8 a little weaker.

I guess I should also comment on this guy:

Igorius Sidaranovas (22851352)
Center
Owner: Northern Kyushu Ramen Kings
Weekly salary: $ 4 356
Role: backup
(BuzzerBeta)
DMI: 9900
Age: 18
Height: 6'10" / 208 cm
Potential: superstar

A season younger but less potential. Still if trained well he can be a dominator. Even Sonoda is just a superstar. Great pickup for an excellent price.

Added Sidaranovas to this guy...
Soukias Khachatryan (21452760)
Center
Weekly salary: $ 8 398
Role: backup
(BuzzerBeta)

DMI: 128200
Age: 19
Height: 6'11" / 211 cm
Potential: superstar

Who is on the Armenian U21 team. So I have those two and Li.

The one thing I'd say about MadRipper's purchase of Secundino is that it's a lil' confusing - as he has a PA potential 18yo SG earning in the mid-$4k range (which means he's got pretty solid starting skills). Given he's a local, I like him over the 19yo Secundino... I'm a tad confused which direction Maga_san's going - bigs or smalls?

I just had a look and you are right, he has gotten his wires crossed.

Eisuke Tomonaga (23447300) Shooting Guard
Weekly salary: $ 4 226
Age: 18
Height: 6'2" / 188 cm
Potential: perennial allstar

Massimo Coda (20968837) Small Forward
Weekly salary: $ 3 136
Age: 19
Height: 6'7" / 201 cm
Potential: superstar

Bert Mullins (22818233) Power Forward
Weekly salary: $ 2 913
Age: 19
Height: 7'0" / 213 cm
Potential: perennial allstar
Game Shape: mediocre

Secundino Balteiro (22595460) Center
Weekly salary: $ 4 487
Age: 19
Height: 7'5" / 226 cm
Potential: MVP

Turhan Alaçam (22205673) Center
Weekly salary: $ 4 062
Age: 19
Height: 7'0" / 213 cm
Potential: superstar

Emil Zarański (19849854) Shooting Guard
Weekly salary: $ 3 169
Age: 20
Height: 6'1" / 185 cm
Potential: superstar

He has 3 x 7 foot Cs, a SF and 2 short guards. The best to train is obviously Tomonaga but he has barely played him. I think I am going to have to revise my opinion from brilliant to puzzling.

I know he's keen... I've been in contact with him. There's enough on the TL at the moment that you don't need to take a 19yo with so-so skills. You can either get a similarly skilled guy at 18, or a better 19yo. At the moment, he seems to be just "buying".
