Awful draft in Bosnia, if they make some changes as they said, they just made the draft worse then earlier.. I'm total disappointed..

This is where we hold them!

Yeah, just anecdotally it seems this season's draft is worse than last season's, just from my browsing of previous years+this year's drafts/discussion. A new team (USA) managed to draft a 18 yo, 4k salary PG in my league...I'm jealous. BTW Would these two prospects I got qualify as a "good" (relative to normal/average) draft:

18 yo Perennial Allstar- 3.2k salary, 53 TSP 6'6" SG
18 yo Allstar-3.4k salary, 53 TSP, 6'7" SG. Atrocious IS and stamina tho :(

I personally thought it was a decent draft, at least for a first draft...though I really wanted the perennial allstar to be superstar potential, and for a bit better skills. Oh well.

What a great draft!! I would take the loss of the 2k salary and keep the others. Mind wasn't that lucky!

They are 19 years old. The first one has great potential, but low starting skills for his age. The second has decent starting skills but star potential isn't a player that will take you far outside lower divisions.

They are decent draft picks, but you told someone else to 'fire' a perennial allstar with great starting tsp for an 18 year old. That is terrible advice. He is probably as valuable as the first pick and definitely more valuable than the second.

Have so mutch to learn here still.

At the moment i have 6-7 potential trainee and i train one on one forwards so not sure who to train now actually. I dont have experience about how players train in different age and potential etc. Well have to figure something out.

Thans for messages both of you. 😎

In order to be worth training, a new trainee needs to have pretty good starting skills. A salary of $3500+ might be an ok guideline, but that's very rough, and each player is a different case. In general, one thing to consider heavily is skill level in main areas. It's really good if the key skills for a trainee are already at or near respectable to start. If the player has any major holes (say, atrocious passing for a guard), then you need to think about whether the hole(s) can be fixed (sometimes the answer is yes, sometimes no). It's also really good if the player has secondaries that you like, since these are hard to work on. If you can start out with a PF trainee with respectable JS and OD, for example, then that can be a huge advantage.

Nothing wrong with your picks mate. If the HOF'er was 18 or had another 10-12 tsp he would sell tomorrow for millions. If they are your best training options, you won't lose out. I was just pointing out why another player he told someone to fire and lose forever is worth just as much as your guys.
