The group phase will involve 8 randomly assigned games. I'll go out on a limb and say that gamesmanship will not be an issue in this situation.

Maybe not as blatant as I suggested but if managers make decisions for the good of their team then anyone going 1-3 or -0-4 in the opening games don't really have any reason to field a line-up from here on.

I don't get it. So you could play the same team 8 times? You will not know your schedule in advance? I am slow, I think I need someone to draw me a picture.

Anyhow, I still don't see the difference between the B3 and the Cup. If the format is good for one tournament, why not the other? Again, a picture would help. ;-)

Have you ever seen serious injury in B3? I haven't, no injury I have seen was serious, all injuried players were always fit after the game. Even if I know it's said by BB's there can be serious injury in B3.

Injuries will statistically occur more however infrequent they are.

The real problem is the gamethrowing and match fixing. But hey what do I know.. i only predicted the most obvious day-trading trend that would be required many moons ago and pretty much every single bull and bear market in player transfer values so far.... I guess I might be wrong this time!

I don't care about statistic theory, I would like to see one example where it happened in B3.

Some good points raised about potential gamesmanship.

But where did they say they were introducing injuries (that lasted more than the duration of a match) to B3?

It seems this change will make WOs more frequent (in b3), but its not the root cause of why there are WOs. So how would we globally stop WOs?

BB's can stop it by automatic random lineup if there are less than 3 players set for lineup by manager. Only WOs then would be if there are less than 3 not injuried players on roster at all.
With this rule every manager would be worry about not setting lineup.
