Your players are really bad in Free Throws, just 18 of 33, if they had normal FT you would win it for sure.
The match could go on both sides, this time you had no luck.

Actually that's not where he lost it. That's the other team making only 18-33 free throws, and that immediately suggests that the referee was a home town nutcase.

But the real reason Doctory lost it was that the opposition played a 3-2 zone, which is quite powerful against most traditionally outside tactics in this game, and hence turned Motion offence into a crapshoot. From there, a few shots lipping out when they would normally have rolled in cost the team the game.

I have had success playing a Princeton offence vs 3-2 zone in the past, but Princeton is a very hit-or-miss tactic itself, as you can see by the complaints I made in this very thread last season...

I'm not complaing about having lost the game, my opponent was simply better in defense and shooting.
But I'm wondering about match values.
That's the proof that they're definetely useless.


If the match goes into garbage time, the backups are presumably far less skilled (in this case, looking at the player ratings, they definitely are) so the team ratings are also going to be worse because there are 12+ minutes where the best players are not going to be in. I think it would be nice information to have a breakdown of the team ratings by quarter, so things like garbage time and the overtime inflation effect could be minimized.

I had played all my previous games on TIE, this one was normal. The free throws were accumulated in the final minutes so it shouldn't have been a factor in the first place. IMO the game should have been won before I started fouling.
I'd really appreciate if somebody can explain this loss.

Pretty simple, you guess wrong on focus.


Here are three over the past week I would all like to have a mulligan on

(85577636) this guy is a stylistic nightmare for me as is, we both went TIE but IF I had guessed GDP on focus it would have tipped the scales

(85577643) on this one had the focus and pace, but did myself in with a crappy plan of attack, motion or RNG allow my boys to hold serve.


(85577652) another case of not pulling the trigger, if I was going to take this guy down this was the chance, again pissed it away.

I think RSX has been rewarded by the BB-Gods due to his efforts on NT Scout.

In any case it's closer than you think and he had better efficiency (which is a better indicator than ratings and bb-stats). BB-stats 137-127 to you, but overall efficiency 93-78 to him. Notably his PP100 ratings were better than yours and his SF took most of the shots unfortunately for you. It's strange that your big men PP100 was so low despite you had a Prolific team rating vs a Proficient defense (6 bbstats difference right there)...it may be due to your low Flow, to some defensive swaps on his part or to SB on his defenders.

Games where the losing team tops both ratings and efficiency and still loses are the baffling ones.


Edit: No defensive swaps, but if I'm not wrong, looking at the play by play your C scored 0 FGA when guarded by his starting C (he was fouled a few times)

Sure my backcourt lost one key player to injury last game out, but still I dont expect my backcourt which consists of players of 100k salary, 15k salary and 26k ( and improving) salary to be outplayed while 2 out of those 3 is in best game shape, by players under 10k salary in fair game shape...
Opponent got an advantage down low maybe, but I got outplayed by outside strategy. I TIE-d, but my motivation was at 8, which is fairly good, I doubt the opponent was any higher.
