On that topic-slight tangent, Bosh is a beast on defence, I am surpised how little talk was put into the job he did stopping Duncan.

I hope you're joking? Bosh is a very good team defender and guards the pick and roll as well as any big man but he got absolutely manhandled by both Duncan and Hibbert in the low block the final 2 series because he doesn't have the strength, size and length to contend with most true Centers on the low block. He also had a lot of trouble keeping both of them off the offensive glass.

You should have watched the game instead of looked at the box score. They didn't "let" anyone score. Good defense was played and Duncan overcame it for the most part.

Really? Because even the announcer noticed Duncan being left open. Again revisionist history

I agree with Miami or any of the top 5 or so teams vs a NT team. I also agree that Bosh is underrated, he is a true 4 forced to play at the 5.

Miami switched up their D in game 6, from trying to protect the paint against Parker and Ginoboli drives. They switched their emphasis to shutting the door on the perimeter. Its obvious that Duncan had a lot more space and better looks, then he had previously, in the series. Their pressure D is crazy good, but like all pressure D (especially without a real big man in the game), that the middles is open when you get to it.

Just browsed through the thread (haven't been paying a lot of attention this year since i'm not a part of it) and i saw comments about everything EXCEPT the topic at hand.

So i'll go on topic:

There are 4 clear favorites remaining this year and none of them playing against each other. And they are BORING. Why are they boring? Because they are essentially the same exact team i.e. they use the same tactics, they built their team the same way and they even get the same exact in game ratings. Honestly, Dionysus winning the B3 for a while was a bit of a breath of fresh air as he actually had a relatively sustainable team. This year? We'll see. It might come down to luck between those 4 teams. But in general i guess VS will buy his way to another title.

As for the off topic stuff:

Salary caps calculated by TV rights, hard caps etc won't work. They will cause more problems than they solve. The only potential solution to B3 and BB in general has to be related to fixing the attendance income for micro nations. But it needs to be done very carefully, because you don't want to make it impossible for them to win in B3.

P.S. Someone mentioned the countries that had 2 teams in the top 32 phase this year. Well, he forgot Macedonia which also had both teams making it to the top 32 phase. Unfortunately, they both lost immediately.
