this is on the list of match viewer presentational issues we plan to fix, but our flash programming is not as strong as our other platforms.

This happens to me every single game, but i thought the game viewer just makes that mistake from time to time. So is it really a bug?

It's a viewer problem which doesn't affect game simulation in any way.

"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

when I read that during the game I like to understand it completely differently
in my mind it's more like "x is going for a shot while y rotates over to help defend the offensive play by setting up a screen for x that's trying to shoot but z is going for him")

if you think of it that way, it's not a problem at all

It is a bug, but it's a viewer bug.

The correct interpretation is, "X takes a shot while Y tries to block it".

What the viewer is doing is using the incorrect text for an event which is supposed to be "X takes a shot off of a pass from Y".

That's why you will see that if this basket is scored, Y will be credited with an assist.

"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."
