Except for your last TV game at home.

...but it would seem then than as a whole you got lucky, because as has been explained you should have lost attendance because of your losses.

The last TV game at home came after a home league loss, an away league loss, and a cup loss (rather than after an a home win and an away loss). 200 bleachers were unsold for the TV game, which amounts to $3400 lost revenue, which was more than offset by the cup game.

I think the important point here is not that I was lucky, but that my arena is too small to show the effect my losses have on attendance.

Speaking of which...what have you been doing with all that extra cash then?

I blew $1.2M on three trainees. Been throwing the rest at the arena, piece by piece. I've got about $1M on hand right now in case something catches my fancy on the TL.

Yeah, I only mentioned it because you said you sold out all your home games which is obviously not the case...even if the attendance losses were minimal.

However I am still fairly certain you are vastly overstating financial gains from your cup games. I seem to remember intakes of 15k and 20k more often than not.

I get around $200k per home league game. My arena was smaller then, so I was probably getting $150k per league game, so $75k for cup games. Not great, but not awful. (Again, I was lucky with home games.)

I guess thats the advantage of having lots of home games during the tournament. oeuftete won the cup in Canada and only played 1 or 2 at home the whole way.

I just wanna bump this thread because I think the tournament final (and semi-finals) should be played on neutral ground. Not because of income, since the economy part has changed since the original post, but because of the home court advantage and the randomness of who gets to host the game.

...and yes, I just lost the final by a buzzerbeater. The game was played at my opponents arena.

isn't that the money you get for winning the semi final?
