Not 100% but I think it is 3 weeks before the end of the season, not including playoffs.

3 weeks before the end of the season has passed I think?

3 weeks before the end of the season including the playoffs (if they are like last season) is the 30th of Sep - this Saturday

Here's the simplest possibility: Announce the draft players 2 weeks or even 3 weeks before the draft, but scouting for the last 2-3 weeks is used for the next season instead of the current one.


As I was not here last time when does the draft take place?

How long after the playoffs?

I was wondering, what happens with inactive teams? Since the manager will never make his draft list I presume the computer will assign him one?

But the pc will make the best possible choice (which means that the best players of the draft might end in inactive teams, which are often at the bottom of the standings, and disappear from the game) or completely randomly? or they will automatically get the "leftovers" (their draft ranking being ignored)?

Well I was "inactive" for the one week the draft was going last week and I got 3 random players.

None were particularly good and they were not chosen in order of skill.

So I assume a similar thing will happen this time. If teams are inactive they probably get the first random players they get from all of their scouting.

If they are inactive and and then replaced by new human players and the draft picks will be deleted.
