With regard to the discussion of the national major team I think, like EESS71 and GM-FatCurry, that dhoff is making a great work. In fact, as it was said, the major national team situation is no better than ours.

Its a long term process and you guys are laying great groundwork. I've been following along keep up the great work.

Well Matt I'm a great believer in giving credit where it is due, and you and your team deserve a lot of praise. You've come to a small, poor, nation and given us the foundations to improve our NT's and our own teams a lot. We can't thank you enough for that in my view.

I tend to read these forums once or twice a week. It's especially great to see you comment after each match as it shows your enthusiasm for the job and the challenge of raising our NT's status in the world. Unfortunately we don't have an active community on these forums. I think many managers just concentrate on their teams and the NT results and don't look at the forums. I think a lot of managers just look at the results of the NT's and don't realise the gravity of the situation we are in and that's why approval ratings aren't as high as I think they should be!

Changing NT managers every election isn't much good (unless the NT manager has no interest any more) as managers can only work with what we, the Irish managers, have given them. They only way we and our NT's can get better is training our promising youth and letting those we can't, or don't train go.

I think as regards U-21 bosses that it has to be a 4 year cycle, rather than just 2. It takes 3 years for 18 yo's to become 21, and that's when we see the true impact of the manager and his staff.

I believe we have a great future because of your efforts, so thanks, and good luck in the friendlies!

Hi guys. Just a quick query... I'm currently training Fallon in hope of him making the U21 team, and was wondering when - if ever - is a good time to train stamina. Is it necessary or more beneficial to just train the primary skills and have players get by without too much stamina? Cheers.

Hi skunk, you are making very good work with Fallon, compliments. For now you can quietly train the primary skill as you are making now. If you want train stamina you could train it only at the end of the season when maybe you have only 2 matches at week ;)

yes, we must say that our two HALL OF FAMER Center are in good hand.

Normally there are two moments of the season during wich we could set a week of Stamina or Free Throw.
The end of the season as matt said, and the All star game week if you have been ejected form the national cup (otherwise you'd have two cup matches and one of regular season).

In these weeks you'll have only 2 games , so normally you can set a team train as stamina or FT.
For now first of all we have to make the primary skills grow and grow ... if some other kind of training will be useful we'll ask you to set it.

:D

BUT let's talk also of the victory with the INDIA U21 TEAM... :D

in this match I have tried something new. I wanted to check our PF and C, to do that I have also used Fran Cox like SF, the best PF who can play in that role. As I aspected we suffered at the outside defense, however we have done great controll of rebounds and a strong inside defense.

Unfortunately these are the last matches of Jason Mac Gabhann, Fran Cox and Adam Gray, who were important players for the whole season. They are 21 years old and they will be out of team next season. I'm really waiting the new generation of C and PF :D

As EESS71 said the next draft will be crucial for the future Ireland NT. As all you know the draft is coming, it will be at the end of season. Well, I want to underline that one of the differences between a well developed country to a bad developed one is properly a good base of young players at the season start. For example, at every season start the best players could be 18 years old and with a potential at least all star.

So I want to advise all active managers who read this forum (who are also the better ones :D ), to take particular attention to the draft. It would be a good thing if we waste less great-players as possible.

So, take care about the draft list, the age and the potential!

as I said the draft list has just appeared!

You can just set the draft list by the link "Manage My Team".

It would be better if you select players who are 18 years old and with more " rating balls" as possible ;)
