Yeah keep the doctor and trainer. I would go for a level 2 PR with a specialty. The extra salary you pay for a level 4 PR manager isn't going to give the same amount extra in merchandise.
I think if you get a basic pr manager with about 5 or 6k salary your merchandise will still increase over the next few weeks. Might drop 1 or 2k in the first week but will increase after that.

Yeah, I've been trying to for about a week and a half, I just hate dishing out +75K for 11-12k salary.

You act like the only thing a PR manager does it help with merchandise, but in the game manual it says this:

"Public Relations Managers help market the team to the fans, encouraging more people to show up to games and be willing to pay more for tickets."

While I agree with you that a level 4 PR manager is too high, that is clearly out of speculation. Do you have any evidence you can link me to that experiments with the PR manager and what not?

I have a level 3 guy right now and have had pretty steady income for the last couple games, but I'm not sure if I want to risk degrading to a level 2 to see the effects as it might be worse off for me and a link would really help :)

I am aware that a PR manager helps with attendance. However, the reason I didn't mention it is because he is in div 2 and has a small arena and so will sell out every week regardless of what level PR manager he has (provided his prices are reasonable, although he could probably put his prices at maximum and still get close to selling out).

I have tried using different PR managers in div 4, div 3 and now in div 2 as well, however, I think that a PR manager is helpful when you are struggling to win in lower divisions, or is helpful in division 2 when you have a big arena that you need to fill.
In otherwords, if you are already selling out your arena comfortably, I don't think you need anything higher than a level 2 PR manager.

I notice a small drop in merchandising when I lowered PR managers, however attendance didn't change at all because I was selling out already. And the difference in salary between level 2 PR and level 4 PR was bigger than the drop in merchandising, so I was making more money with a lower PR manager.

Nice. PR managers definitely help with attendance. However, when you are in div 2, and have a smallish arena, you are going to sell out without a PR manager, so you don't need to have a level 4 PR manager.

I c, that's what I thought...when I had a superior PR manager, the merchenside kept increasing every week (my merchandise started with 21k at the beginning of this season). When I got rid of the superior PR manager and got advanced PR manager, the merchandise was still increasing. The superior PR manager's salary was 32k and the advanced PR manager's salary (the one I have) is 13k, so I'm getting extra 20k despite getting a PR manager that's one lvl lower. But I'm not sure if getting competent PR manager will still incraese the merchandise. It's worth trying though I think.
