If Kevin Garnett is not elite, there's some big misunderstanding here. He's definitely not an elite... guard. but come on, this was drafted in 95! and 16 years later(i.e. now), he plays on a champhionship team, being an uncontested starter, averages 15 points and 9 rebounds in the regular season, and is one of the best defensive players in the NBA. I agree that he's not the best, but not elite...

I'm not saying KG isn't a legend, I'm saying he's 36 years old and half the player he used to be. My list consists of guys who can take over a game either offensively or defensively. KG can't do it.

He had 13 JS, 10 JR, 8 OD

But skills above are adequate for III div guard (only OD should be ~2 levels better, JS and JR are enough). So maybe You bided guard who had good inside skills? ;-)

So I think he will be at least 3rd the best guard in Your squad (if You set him as PG/SG), maybe even 2nd. You tried to buy 2 in 1 so it's obvious price was higher than typical ;-)
And my opinion is that this player is too good for III div. You don't need primaries = 14 for big men, and You don't need JS better than RB, so this player wasn't adeqate for Your team. You should buy big man with primaries = 12-13 (sum of inside skills = 40-45 and sum of outside skills = 35-40 and every skill at least >=4-5). It's possible to buy similar players under 1M and it's enough multiskilled player. I have 3 similar players and every costed less than 1M (550k, 600k, 900k).

In my league it is not that unusual to have a big man having IS, ID and RB at 14. At least teams that want to promote usually have that kind of a player.

i agree with you but as I wrote above, this does not really change the case. Maybe in league III it is more meaningful to talk about JS 6/7. But then you shoould probably defend also with 5/6. Add passing & handling 4/5 and yoour player is much more expensive. And again: even thrash centers want more salary than decent guards.

and i am always happy about my multiskileld bigs, because they give you a feeling that you saving money when you compare their effort with singleskilled big who ask for a lot more.

And you got also the oppurtunity to play your PF as SF.
