You are improving, and I think your game against Serenity Now showed that. You held him to well below what he normally scores, just needed a little more to push you over the edge. I think you've shown most of your improvement is with your gameshape and enthusiasm management this season, as your roster has remained pretty much the same for the last few seasons. If you can pick up a few more multiskilled players, and few good big guys, you should promote pretty soon.

Like RA Blaze said - your team is coming along very nicely. My team has steadily gotten worse since I went inactive for about 2 seasons and you are moving quickly in the opposite direction. You'll probably have a better team than mine by the end of next season.

Unless you're going to train him yourself or the market has changed drastically it's going to cost more than a million to buy a "beast" of a SF.

I'd consider spending on arena upgrades first or training a couple guys for profit.

Well then it's going to take a while. Money is everything in this game. Can you really buy a good SF for only 1M?

I don't feel like I make anywhere near enough money right now to do anything and I bring in a lot more than that. I don't think I'd even bother trying to promote to div II without at least 10K seats. Your current arena scheme maxes out at about 190K or so? I didn't do the math so I'm not sure, but I know you couldn't make a div II payroll with that.

There's 3 types of players in this game. Ones who play at a skill level EQUAL to their salary, ones who play at a skill level LESS then their salary suggests, and players who are MORE skilled then their salary. Players who tend to play better then the salary in which they are paid are multi-skilled players with good skills other then their primary skills. These players are easier and cheaper to acquire by training. You can also find 33+ year old players which multifaceted skill sets for fairly cheap, but while your trainee's will continue to get better throughout a season and play ABOVE their salary, are way more beneficial in the long run, as opposed to 33+ player who may play very well throughout the season, will continue to lose skills as the season continues and become less valuable.

You have to be patient with this game, and building value with your own players, along with buying some key depth here or there. You will find a very good player for your team with 1M though. I suggest if your going for an SF, maybe try to find a SG with strong-prominent inside defense, but you don't really need any other inside stats considering you run Princeton/Motion all the time, and these players can come relatively cheap. That is if you want to continue to run outside offenses.

Im not looking for a young player. Im looking for a 26 - 33 years old small forward. You know a guy who can score 20 points per game. Like the player i have right now. Well now i used my money to make a bigger arena. i think 1mil is enough.to buy a pg or sg.

It doesn't have to be your arena, but the best way to get ahead in this game is to make money, regardless of how you do it. Lots of guys do it with smaller arenas by training guys to sell for profit. That is probably the fastest/best way. If you're not interested in raising money that way you have to have a bigger arena. Your players are going to get too expensive otherwise if you want to promote.

RA is right though, that a mil will buy a decent older guy. I think we may have different definitions of "beast".
