People forget that, when it comes down to it, hes a grown man playing a game for a living.

People do not forget that, when it comes down to it, he's getting paid millions of dollars playing a game for a living. If he's screwing around while doing it, he doesn't deserve it.

Joe Blow down the street busting his ass for $10/hr has a problem with it I'm sure.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

You dont just walk into the NBA and put up 20 and 10 every night without working at it. Just because he enjoys the fact that hes getting paid millions of dollars to play a game doesn't mean hes screwing around. If Joe Blow were getting paid 10 million dollars to paint that house, he might have some fun with it too. I have never seen Dwight Howard not play his hardest, or quit on his team ever. You want to talk about someone screwing around, talk about Pau, who seems to stop caring for weeks at a time.

Have you been watching the same games I've been this year?

There's a difference between having fun and winning, and having fun during/after/before huge losses when expectations are high.

If I had a teammate doing this on a regular basis, I'd be smacking them upside the head.

I'm actually fond of Dwight Howard, his size, his potential... but definitely not his attitude. He does not have the killer instinct it takes to go to the next level in the NBA.

I mentioned this in another thread, but Dwight Howard has averaged almost exactly his career averages in FG%, blocks, TOs, and steals. Hes averaging 2 less ppg, which is directly attributable to one less shot per game. I'm not sure what Lakers fans expected, but they are getting what they signed, which is efficient, but not dominant offensive play, rebounds, and stellar defense.

I love how its always D12's fault. Lets not ever mention the Matador's defense, if he even attempts to guard anyone. Please, if Kobe starts playing "real" defense, that would go a long way to fix the Lakers problems.

Compared to Nash's "defense"?

They're all screwed this year.

Well Im more inclined to forgive Nash because no one could have really expected him to start playing any defense after being about as stout as cotton candy for the majority of his career.

But yeah, his lack of contribution doesn't help lol

Howard just doesn't have the fire or the competiveness that a Kobe or a Jordan or even a Pierce have, but that is his personality, do i like that in a player? no. but he is who he is if he would have stayed in Orlando we would not be talking about him because in Orlando he was accepted for how he is, but when he signed with the Lakers he was supposed to be that missing piece to bring the title back to LA. And i just don't think he reacts to pressure very well. As to him not caring or trying, come on i will not even respond to that.
